GGG gets to fight every scrub in the world and I don’t hear this but he has to bring in subscribers nonsense.. guess Latinos get a different treatment huh?? Canelo vs Quigley is fine, Quig will bring in Irish fans.
I disagree, while I do agree that GGG's has fought a lot of low level under opposition the topic here is not GGG, the topic here is Alvarez. I'm not gonna renew my DAZN for a Quigley fight, that's a trash ass fight.

And while I do agree with you to a certain extent that neither BJS or Callum are the biggest ticket sellers they bring more to the table than Quigly or Ryder. They bring an undefeated record and thay are champions.

Ryder did a very good job on Smith and while he deserved the nod he lost on paper, I'm gonna be honest I can digest the Ryder fight but I wouln't be happy with it. From all the options the only one that would make me me pay without a doubt would be a Callum Smith.

You literally answered the question without answering. Point proven it's all about the Ginger to and nothing about boxing as a sport.

Doesn't make you less of a fan, but you send a message with low attendance numbers that we won't accept being taken advantage of.

In addition, the difference in comparing sports is that, it's 1 thing to support your local team even if they suck. Even if they suck and owners take advantage of that fan base by not investing in the team as they should, the players on the field still have to go out and play whatever team is put in front of them. They can't pick and choose what teams they want to play. As a boxing fan, my priority is to see the best fights get made, and that will only happen if fans stop supporting mismatches and demand the fights that should be made. Canelo spent nearly 2 yrs being able to not face GGG because his handlers knew his fans would pay for inferior fights regardless. Currently, there is plenty of top young talent to choose from at 160 and 168 and I'm not going to put any money towards watching Canelo fight guys that are at disadvantages whether it be to skills, age, etc. So bottom line, should Canelo face a no hoper in his next fight, I hope it bombs. That way there will be more pressure to face one of the other top undefeated champions.
I agree, but it seems that everyone is in on this "game" of minimizing risk and avoiding each other to one extent or the other. That is, unless everyone involved gets a career defining payday. Absent a league or other defining structure Boxing is a haven for scam artists and con men.

When GB signed with DAZN it was because they were going to allow Oscar stage fights on DAZN bringing Canelo was just the cherry on top, Fox, ESPN, and Showtime all offered Canelo a contract but just for Canelo, they weren't interested in the golden boy stable and Oscar was looking for a network to stage their fighters and DAZN offered that. Network's weren't offering Canelo that same guaranteed purse, but if Canelo would of signed with a network his guaranteed purse probably would of been around 20 million, but you got to take into consideration that his fights would of been on PPV and would of had a much bigger audience and promotion, and that would of turned in about the same or even bigger purses from the PPV and advertisers. Bigger reach just means more money and popularity just like Pac and Mayweather were doing with bigger audiences. So yeah Golden Boy was looking out for themselves and not Canelo.
I agree. The only minor thing that I would add is that FOX, HBO, Showtime and ESPN are able to promote fights and fighter across all their cable properties. DAZN is a standalone platform and that's it.

Sadly it’s not the sport it used to be. The overpaying of fighter’s who don’t have large followings, sell tickets, and or produce good ratings along with sub standard promoting has put boxing in an unenviable position

Finally someone gets it. Finally someone gets why an app only approach doesn’t work for American sports fans sans any other sports American sports fans want to see. Americans just won’t be sold on football (soccer for North American’s), darts, snooker, curling, and talk shows about American sports. America isn’t england, it’s not the uk, it’s not germany, it’s not Italy, it’s just not a european country and British nationalists just need to understand that
