Canelo fought well but I had to give him a 1 for this fight because Krusher Kovalev never showed up. It was tapper Kovalev who never threw a single hard punch with bad intentions that I saw. Canelo had no opposition.

About an 8, most of votes agree with me.

Was not easy, despite the excuses (not saying they don’t have some validity) being made for Kovalev. He was sparked clean, it was impressive.

Kovalev was just happy to get the money as evidenced by him taking the fight on a short turnaround. Then accepting a re-hydration limit. Apparently his hand was damaged. He would have liked to win but his main focus was to get the fight and the money before it disappeared.

I gave it a 3 for basically the same reason. It was a good win resume wise but all in all Kovalev didnt even try. He looked like he was sparring lightly instead of fighting a championship fight. I'm not discrediting Canelo in this fight either. I'm just saying it may have been different if Kovalev tried.

That was a 50/50 fight going in. I gave it an 8.

So, the KO was impressive as *****... so let's start at 10, but then we know he wasn't the Krusher anymore, past his prime or bad right hand whatever, but everybody knew ain't Krusher no more so let's give him a 9... Then Kovalev was outboxing Canelo prior that, I have it at 8... and theeen, Kovalev struggled pretty bad just one month before with Yarde... One more punch from Yarde and that fight could be over... so my rating is a solid with no doubts 7.... I mean to me it was an impressive turnaround but you have to take into account small ***** like that.

that was a fixed fight were Kovalev was told not to shoot. The only time he forgot he rocked Ginger, then took a step back and apologized. F that!

                      8. Kovalev was past his prime but he was still a formidable opponent with a significant size advantage. It was a very ballsy move for Canelo to take that fight, and he got the job done.
