Mike was still very formidable and motivated even if he was of mentally off a bit . I’d say 8 ,Mike always showed up when he fought the big names win or lose . People can discredit Lewis but it really showed Mikes toughness he ate dozens of Lewis right hands before getting stopped late not many people would have taken those number of shots from one of the best right hands ever but Manny had Lewis firing on all cylinders that night pleading with him to finish a dangerous Tyson and boxed a great fight .

Mike was past his prime, could only fight like the old iron mike for one round. Lennox was a superheavyweight with the eye of the tiger who stayed pretty relevant and active opposed to Mike Tyson's absence of the game. LL beat him in the wrong era as he was aging like fine wine. To much of Mike's heart, he took his beating like a man. A mismatch. Damn near killed the kid then have the audacity to ask for a rematch. Sheez, let the man rest in one piece instead of giving him a second schooling/ walloping.

Not much I gave a generous 5 because he beat the ghost of Mike Tyson that night but Tyson took a good beating like a man and made Lewis step up a gear to put him away finally

One of the most brutal whoopings you'll see, y'all mention lewis holding he could of moved and jab, he stayed in the clinch and gave Tyson the ass whooping of his life

It was a beat down. Target practice for Lewis. Tyson was competitive for 1/2 of Rd1. After that, wipe out. Lewis scored a high profile win over a washout who needed the money. 4/10.

I really don't how one can accurately assess Lewis' win over Mike Tyson. By that time Mike Tyson was already showing signs of decline in his skills and was well past his prime.

Moreover, he'd lost both his will and drive to succeed. In addition, he already had three losses; Two coming by way of knockout. The only thing he had left was his power.

So in my judgement, I just say that the win was only average.

Post-prison, past prime Mike. It was a decent win I guess you can say. Plus this was the first unofficial super fight between a regular size HW (Tyson) vs a Super Heavyweight (Lewis). My man Mike was too small and past his best days. I guess a 5 or 6.

Tyson was dangerous for 2-3 rounds tops so Lewis had to be careful early on, after that it was easy work for someone with his ability. The fight happened at least 7 years too late.
why would it be a 3 lol....
Lewis took command and won every round and easily knocked him out...it was a Dominant display by Lewis who was never troubled by Tyson and that’s all a boxer can do when he wins......the argument you have should be aimed at Tyson not Lewis ......in 1996 Tyson paid Lewis to step aside not the other way round.
Performance wise and tactical Lewis was an 8 ....in terms of fighter he beat in his prime it was a 6...not a 3
