    3/10.

The build up was amazing but tyson was done as a top fighter years before and still Lewis was so damn cautious and ugly.

Lennox win over Tyson wasn't good. When Tyson was tearing through everyone lennox was building himself up to one day fight tyson. Too late though. Same with holyfield v tyson

People forget that Lewis was older lol
Tyson was the bees knees when he was knocking them all over and blame his demise due to cus D’Amato not being around but it’s bull**** he never even saw him a win a world title , everybody was in awe of Tyson before he went to prison.and were in awe when he came back out and demolished Bruce Seldon Frank Bruno even quicker and we’re giving no chance to Evander Holyfield who was 25-1 To beat Tyson at the start And he had his ass handed to him 2 times......it’s been Tyson’s story looked great against B rated heavyweights knocking them out but when up against the A or A+ heavyweights he was exposed and beaten up.
I like Tyson but that is the facts of his pro resume

who did Tyson actually tear through who was not actually a smaller fighter or past there prime fighter that was as good as Lennox Lewis or Evander Holyfield ? Tyson looked great against lesser fighters knocking them out but as soon as he boxed the very best he lost...facts

I'll give it a 7.. Lennox did what he had to do, it's what good boxers do to win.

Everyone can play it down and Tyson is probably the only boxer I was/have been in awe of but I wanted Lennox to win and he didn't disappoint..

It was a great win for him and I wish it'd took place a few years before. Now that would have been a battle an half imo....

But for 4 years he did fight the very best and beat all comers. When he fought ATGs he lost. But Tyson had been in prison he wasn't same even if he did beat Bruno and seldon.
Lennox might have beat prime Tyson and likely would and that he would have got credit for great win. Maybe a 9, but instead a 6 or 7 maybe

Lewis took command and won every round and easily knocked him out...it was a Dominant display by Lewis who was never troubled by Tyson and that’s all a boxer can do when he wins......the argument you have should be aimed at Tyson not Lewis ......in 1996 Tyson paid Lewis to step aside not the other way round.
Performance wise and tactical Lewis was an 8 ....in terms of fighter he beat in his prime it was a 6...not a 3
Look at the poll. More people agree with me than you. That version of Tyson was easy work for Danny Williams nevermind Lewis. Its my opinion and you have yours. That's fine.

no one has rated it a 3 based on the way Lewis handed Tyson his defeat....Tyson was on a 6 fight winning streak when he lost to Lewis so he was a bit better than what you say.
But we are talking about Lewis performance which was what this post is about not about how far gone mike Tyson was so giving it a 3 is wrong but it’s your opinion but it’s wrong and no one has ever dealt such a beating to Tyson like Lewis did.
Lewis nullified Tyson and beat him up gradually and koed him and that’s all a fighter can do.

                    2. Casual fans got very excited. Boxing fans viewed it about the same as Mayweather-McGregor.
