On a scale of 1-10, how impressive was Lennox' win over Tyson?

It's no secret defeating Tyson is Lennox most cherished win in his entire resume which he has stated numerous times.

4 - He excessively held about a 100 times. Got MULTIPLE warnings before the points started finally coming off. I think it's cheating to let a big boxer grab a smaller boxer and then drop all weight on them until the clinch is broken up and then rinse and repeat. Just think Wilder was saying he was weak from walking to the ring with just a heavy costume on?

Try sparring 18 mins with 220++ lbs on you??? Your DEAD tired if you even make it those 6 rounds...

Nevermind its one for me also should of been DQ'd.

Round one: Lewis began to clinch and grab hold of Tyson as a strategy to fend off his repeated attempts to draw near

2: Cotton warned Lewis twice for holding

        3: Still holding

4: Eddie Cotton ruled it a slip and deducted a point from Lewis for pushing Tyson down. After he rolled on tyson.

5: Cotton stopped the fight and talked to Lewis again in the fifth round about pushing. As the round went on, a visibly weakened Tyson

        6: More holding...

NM gonna go rewatch fight? Guess no point deducted?

Realistically it’s about a 4 or so because Tyson at that point heart wasn’t in it and was a still dangerous was a shell of what he was in his prime, it was just about paycheques.

Career / Legacy wise it’s a 8-9 , Lennox needed to have Tyson scalp on his resume if he wanted to be considered the best of his era or it’d always be brought up by the naysayers who didn’t believe he was the best of his era , Casual fans and the general public still believed Tyson was still seen as Tyson of Old so taking Tyson out the way he did Was seen probably by most who watched The fight his biggest win

A five. Tyson was done at that point. As far as the holding and rolling on him Tyson bit him at a press conference. So all is fair.

Lennox Lewis did what he had to do 'Although I do think the 2000-2001 version of Mike Tyson would be a really tough fight for Lennox Lewis' Tyson was on a good run then seemed to tank, due to lifestyle and medication.

All the pressure was on Lennox Lewis.

I am not rating the performance 'With a number'.

It was just a dominant win over a badly faded big name, it was what it should have been.

It's funny how the yanks always downplay it though because at the time many of them said Tyson would win, it's no good being an after timer post fight.

                    3.
Tyson was dangerous for 2-3 rounds tops so Lewis had to be careful early on, after that it was easy work for someone with his ability. The fight happened at least 7 years too late.
