Why did GGG wait so long to step up ?
No, let me answer that !!!

    Everyone was too scared
Why did Hopkins wait so long to move up?? Why did guys Hagler, Pryor and Monzon never move up at all? Because they didn't have to. There is nothing wrong with fighters staying put if they are comfortable at their chosen weight. There are a lot of reasons fighters move up. Guys like Canelo and Charlo simply can't make weight anymore. Others move up to avoid someone in their own division. Others move up for big money fights.

How relative is that question when it comes to GGG ?

The end result will always be Hopkins > GGG, so.......

Yeah it's totally relevant but you don't want to answer.

Hopkins had me sign a hush contract. Being his autobiographer, I can't be telling people how his mind works

If only GGG fought the likes of Segundo Mercado, twice..
            And lost, not to mention.

            Or Steve Frank..

Let me ask you. If you have more reach than your opponent what good does it do if you give that up and only decide to fight close range? A shorter arm in a short distance will reach its target first.

The same goes with hand speed. If GGG and Canelo both throw lead hooks in range who's do you think will hit first?

GGGs best range is mid range right at the end of his jab. With Canelo refusing to give up ground where do you think GGG would have gone?

                The outside.

And LOW IQ people make a big deal out of this. You use what tools you have to win a fight and fighting ****** isnt how you win.

People don’t seem to understand that Kovi was worried of the return fire which made him gun shy , meaning had he engaged the fight would of been over way before

the exact same thing happened to Canelo's last 4 opponents

and Golovkin was one of them LMAO

They had GGG throwing 870 punches to 600 punches thrown by Canelo and they had him landing 38 more punches than Canelo so how is that giving up ground? The majority of neutral viewers thought GGG won the fight but 3 Canelo loving Vegas judges said otherwise. How is Canelo smaller than GGG when he just fought at 175 looking pretty lean even at that weight? GGG is taller but not the heavier man. He was the heavier man years ago but not in the last few years because Canelo put on a lot of muscle weight. You are really pushing the Canelo won thing and it is clear you are a Canelo fan and not a GGG fan. The many Canelo lovers on here will agree but many others think GGG got Vegas robbed and would have won in any other city. As for Canelo lighting GGG up like a Christmas tree made by a dedicated GGG hater that corny line is neither original or true. GGG landed over 30 more punches than Canelo so Canelo got lite up too.

                      no

according to his trainer... Golovkin did not fight the way they trained, and he did not follow the gameplan

Sanchez said they wanted Golovkin to be more aggressive, and take the fight to Canelo... but he could only do what was available to him, due to Canelo's style/gameplan

"..... We wanted [Golovkin] to do a lot of different things,” Sanchez said during the post-fight press conference.... but when they’re in the ring, they’re gonna do the things that they see available to them.

Canelo fought the fight that he needed to fight today to win.
                      "

you thought that Golovkin fought the fight he needed to fight, but Sanchez thought that was Canelo... funny huh?
