I just lost some respect for Lennox Lewis. Here's why.

An old, out of shape Lennox Lewis bludgeoned little-known Vitali Klitschko, until the referee and doctors had to save him from career-ending injuries. The reason anyone takes offense at this is because they wanted Lewis to lose SO BAD, they feel if, but, maybe, if the rematch had happened Vitali might, possibly, theoretically have had a better chance of winning. How sad is that. They did fight and Lewis pulverized him! Suck it haters!

yeah vitali was not the type of guy u want to rematch to be honest, it was goiing to be a brutal fight, tyson was easy work at the point and on the plus side for lewis he was coming to the end of his career, it happens like that a lot

Lennox damn near killed the boy, why make him suffer again (Mike Tyson)?

Also wasn't there supposed to be a bubba fight (Kirk Johnson) instead of a last minute replacement vitali Klitschko?

I didn't know this. I'm definitely liking Lewis less. He didn't rematch vital that was bad enough.
I don't like it when people give you rematch when you lost but you not give rematch?

I usually agree with you but not on this fight. Lewis cut him badly with legal blows and the fight had to be stopped so I agree on that part. I don't agree on how the fight went. I think Vitali was ahead on the scorecards and he was coming on very strong while Lewis was fading fast. There is no doubt in my mind Vitali would have won by ko had he not been cut and would have KOed Lewis in a rematch barring another cut happening to him.

if he was willing to go through all of that with Tyson, why not give Vitali a rematch????? Vitali wanted the rematch, but Lenox went silent. I had no problem at all with just retiring after the fight as he knew that it was his time to hang them up.

But that is very disgraceful how he went through so much effort to drag Tyson back in for a rematch, yet didn't put up nearly the effort for a Klitschko rematch.
I agree that he won every round by a mile and a rematch with Tyson was uncalled for. If he was going to continue boxing a rematch with vitali would be what lots of fans wanted to see since many fans including myself thin Vitali would have knocked him out if he had not been cut. Lewis was very old for a boxer so if he wanted to retire that was what he should do.
