A good career move from Floyd if this turns out to be true, he'll solidify his status as the genuine champion at 147 (supposing he wins, which is likely), placing the onus on Hatton to deal with any unfinished business at 140, should there be any.

What a shame that such a thread should be YET AGAIN commandeered and trashed by this site's resident boorish moron. When I saw 11 pages I was delighted, thinking it was going to be 11 pages of insightful debate. Instead it's 11 pages of a little boy repeating himself and using name-calling in the place of civil discourse. Some people just never get it, do they?

And funny how eager you were to read and comment.

Because it's not like any other Floyd Mayweather topics have degenerated into long debates now have they?

Once again, if you're reading this, you're PWNED.

Bozo.. you feel Spink's cause you think his "boxing" will be more difficult for Mayweather, whereas i think myself and amagnin, at least, feel like Baldomir's the better challenge due to the fact that Carlos is the bigger puncher of the two and the bigger volume puncher as well.. i think i'm somewhat seeing it..

thinking it over, both opinions seem, for the most part, acceptable. i still think after seeing one Spink's fight in the last year and a half, and not exactly an "awe-inspiring" one, you're giving Spinks way too much credit.
And I think you're giving Baldomir WAY too much credit based off a narrow win over Judah.

He's slow of hand and foot, telegraphs his shots, and doesn't have the power to stop or trouble Floyd.

not to mention, this will be a more excited fight, match-up wise, then would be the case with Spinks
Your sig has ippo in it, who is more of a Baldi / Gatti type fighter whos fighting Vorg the amazingly skilled fighter.. If your sig is true baldis gonna win = P

gee so how much credit were you giving Spink's over a narrow win over Judah and then getting KTFO by him in the next fight.

you make zero sence, no wonder your name is BOZO

I like the idea of Mayweather fighting Baldomir. Although Baldi isn't the biggest threat at welterweight, he is the recognized champion at the weight. For us that are not really fans of PBF, this could be a turning point. I wouldn't mind seeing somebody clean out the divisions on his way up, rather than just picking a paper champ in order to claim a belt. I would really like to root for Floyd. Maybe a war with Baldomir could help that along.
