Baldomir is clearly not in the class of any of those other fighters.

By that logic, Henry Bruseles would have a better chance of beating Floyd than Spinks.

    You're underestimating Spinks.

Judah out boxed Floyd for several of the early rounds in his fight with Floyd.

You don't even know what you're talking about anymore.

I'm bringing up Baldomir's anorexic KO% because people keep saying he's got a chance because he's got a puncher's chance.

That underlines my point. He has a very low KO% and isn't a big one punch KO guy.

Once again underlining my point that his "puncher's chance" isn't much of a chance at all.

      Anything else Tips?
You give Spinks so much credit for his win against Karmazin. Let's get away from the end of the fight for a minute. In round 2 Karmazin landed the only decent right hand of the fight and it shook Spinks' legs. Spinks refused to engage after that and fought a smart fight by boxing and staying away. That simply isn't impressive to restless and I. If Karmazin had been better prepared for Spinks (like Floyd will be) it wouldn't have even been close. Karmazin figured him out at the end of the fight and won the last 4 rounds I believe. Spinks was only really tired the last 2 rounds. So imo Spinks has a difficult style that would bother a guy like Karmazin but wouldn't in the least bit phase Floyd. Baldomir fights MORE LIKE (not exactly like) Castillo who we know gave Floyd problems.

Nothing you can say is going to make the point that Baldomir has a better chance because he's an under rated puncher.

        that's non sense.

His KO % speaks for itself. He's a swarmer, and does not posess one punch KO power.

You're not making a point here at all.
Really it looks like you're just repeating my point and calling it your own. I said in my post that Baldomir KO's through accumulation not with 1 punch. And Floyd looked a lot more hitable at 147 than at 140 or 135. I think it is A POSSIBILITY that Baldomir lands some heavy shots that bother Floyd. And you still haven't come up with a boxer that bothered Floyd (and 3 rounds against Judah doesn't count as a whole fight...name a close fight he was in with a boxer).

Like mentioned eariler, Karmazin had a tough time early adapting to Spink's style, toward the back thirds of the fight, Karmazin figured out the puzzle and started going to work, leaving Spinks to RUN and HOLD.. this is how the fight went and in comparison to Baldomir's fight with Zab, was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

You've made ZERO point all along, and have made several ***** moves in this thread alone (talking about the non sense in your thread and then changing the subject, bringing up Winky vs Taylor and making **** up and saying I said it)

and now you've zero'd in on this, and are once again illustrating your ignorance.

Boxing matches are won based on who wins more rounds. It's amazing you can ask me if I understand it when you keep illustrating you don't understand this very simple fact.

Last time I'll say it: Spinks was off a year, and came into the fight with a very high activity level early. It won him many of the early to mid rounds. As a result, he tired quicky. He lost the late rounds, but won enough of the early rounds to earn the win.

It doesn't get much more simple than that.

Perhaps you'd now like to bring up Winky Taylor again and put a bucnch of words in my mouth?

I don't give him "so much credit".

I'm pointing out it's just as big a win as Baldomir narrowly outpointing Judah was.

He beat the top rated 154lb fighter after a year's layoff.

I keep discussing it, because you and numb nuts fail to grasp that he won the fight despite fading in the late rounds.

It's not a point, because the chances of him landing accumulated damage on Floyd is FAR FAR LESS likely than landing a one punch KO.

So you're the one under lining my point.

Baldomir isn't a big puncher at all, his 12 KO's in 58 fights speak highly of that, and if his "puncher's chance" is all he's got, it's not really a chance at all.

Show me one post where I said Spinks didn't win... you can't because I never said it. What I did say was that he looked unimpressive in winning. You seem incapable of acknowledging that you can look crappy and win a fight. To give an example, I didn't think Jermain Taylor was impressive against Hopkins in the first fight but I still thought he won more rounds hence he won the fight.

Baldomir is not in the class of Cotto or Margarito? First of all, I would favor Baldomir over Cotto on the grounds of superior chin alone, as well as the fact that Cotto's chin scares me a little. It would be a very competitive match, but Baldomir, who proved himself to be superior to Zab Judah, is definitely on Cotto's level.

Margarito I'm not so sure of, since he's a harder puncher than Cotto and really has a chin of his own. I think he would wear Baldomir down and stop him in the mid rounds after landing huge punch after huge punch. Baldomir would be game until the end though.

Baldomir is the champion at welterweight, and is competitive with anyone listed on this thread. He proved that against Judah, who I think would lose again in a rematch.

I agree the possibility is far from likely, but who is MORE likely to land an accumulation of punches. The guy that walks forward and tries to punch or the guy that runs around the ring economically counter-punching.
