Great Article
There's been quite a few blind eyes turned in the sport in the last several years. Tyson Fury, Jarrell Miller, Canelo Alvarez, Billy Joe Saunders, Luis Ortiz, Ray Beltran. I'm sure I'm missing some names. But instead of focusing on fighter safety, promoters are looking to fill their pockets and seats regardless. A lifetime ban is the only thing that will deter fighters from using PEDs.Comment

I agree, I’m all for banning cheats forever!
Let’s look at the tally shall we..
Jarrell Miller
Tyson Fury
Canelo Alvarez
Willie Monroe Jr
Cesar Chavez Jr
Hughie Fury
Luis Ortiz
Alexander Povetkin
Dillian Whyte
Luis Nery
Mickey Bey
Alexander Bes*****
Alejandra Jimenez
Heather Hardy
All GUILTY for destroying the integrity of the sport further and degrading what it means to be a champion!
Hopefully they stay clear since no permanent ban would be placed on any of them unless they killed an opponent while on PED!Comment

This eras biggest drug cheats should all be banned from the hall of fame:
Holyfield
Roy Jones
Shane Mosely
Canelo Alvarez
Andre Ward
Floyd Mayweather
Antonio Tarver
James Toney
Today’s cheats:
Charlos
Miller
Ortiz
Povetkin (Stiverne fight, not Wilder fight)

Low integrity, garbage culture of entitlement.Comment

This is nonsense. There are rules in sport and only when the rules are broken dues cheating take place. Being poor is not in the rule book. Nor is having up to date equipment or a good trainer. Get real.It isn't a simple binary decision. If you want to say that all "cheating" is equal and deserving of the same penalty, you would have to consider a definition of what cheating is.
I would argue that a rich boxer with a good trainer and equipment could be considered cheating if he's preparing to fight a poor man with poor equipment.
It's a way to gain an unfair advantage, as are all other forms of "cheating". If it were a blanket ban, rich fighters would have to share their training with the opponent or be banned for life.
The subtleties make each case unique, and they should be reviewed on a case by case basis.Comment

I was never a fan of Miller however, this article comes off as little more than a hit job. If one was so concerned about cheating in boxing, why not mention the plethora of much more popular boxers who have been caught cheating or the non investigated reports. Maybe mention Canelo, how about the recent news that Pac refused VADA testing in Thurman fight and is currently refusing VADA testing in negotiations with Crawford. Maybe touch on Fury, and the complaints from Furys sparring partners that foam was removed from Fury gloves in training camp. Mention the infamous Resto fight but fail to mention Cotto vs Margaritto, and how after being caught in the Mosely fight, Margaritto was suspended for 1 year and then allowed to fight boxing's biggest star for a title in his second fight back. Fhuck I could keep it going. Miller sucks, that's for sure, but this article is just as big a peice of schit.Comment
