Would have taken something very special to beat him back in 2014 against Porter, his timing was unreal. You could even see the shock and surprise on Porter's face as he was getting stunned time and again with stiff shots as he was bulldozing in.

Obviously he's no longer in his prime (age and injuries) nor is he a WW either. Though he did show signs that his timing's not totally gone by knocking out DeLuca (tough as boots if not much else) with a perfectly timed jab last time out. Although to be fair he was a bit of a shadow of his former self in that fight.

I've no interest in seeing him boil back down to 147, the scales will do most of Crawfords work for him and don't they know it. From a sporting perspective, it just ruins it for me - way too big a handicap.

Becoming a champion at 154 is no gimme but I'd much sooner him focus on that as opposed to coming across all desperate to Crawford who in reality is short on credible options himself.
This is still about Brook's obsession with Khan.

When Khan moved up to fight Canelo, Brook immediately called out GGG.

Khan then somehow got to fight the p4p King in Terence Crawford, now Brook wants to boil down again and fight Crawford too.

Honestly, Brook really is a special one. That nickname is incredibly accurate. I don't think there has ever been more of an idiotic nutjob in the sport before.

And here it is folks. Straight from the horse's mouth.

But when Spence says that the money ain't right for the Crawford fight, everyone screams ducking.

But when Arum says it, crickets.

Also, people always say PBC fighters are ducks and won't cross over to other networks, but Arum, in one paragraph, made the money excuse to have Crawford avoid Porter, and made the excuse that Ugas is not relevant in order to avoid being asked about that fight either.

Two guys willing and able to crossover, two excuses.

But all the PBC fighters ducking Crawford though.

How long do we have to listen to this tripe from you top rank idiots
Porter isn't a PPV fighter and neither is Keith Thurman. The very fact that they expect PPV purses when they bring no title or even a large fanbase to the table shows how delusional they and their fans are. Are you delusional as well?

        Ugas doesn't expect PPV purses.

        Why is Arum ducking him?

Top Rank boss Bob Arum has the tall task of finding pound-for-pound stalwart Terence Crawford a formidable opponent. The 32-year-old Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs), the WBO 147 pound champion, is yearning for a career-defining fight, and if Arum has it his way, he’ll be able to choose from a pool of five welterweights that include Manny Pacquiao, Shawn Porter, Kell Brook, Keith Thurman and Yordenis Ugas for a clash in either September or October.

“Kell Brook is a problem only because of the travel ban. I can’t book a fighter from the U.K. because (President Donald) Trump has shut down all travel for non U.S. residents. So how do I get Kell Brook over here? I don’t now how to do it. "

              Is he fookn serious!

Hilarious that Arum doesn't even believe in his own fighter. That's why he won't put him in with a real one.

Oh sure, he likes to throw names around but never actually fight them. Just like he did with Floyd.

Did you read today's article? Arum revealed his true intentions.

"With Porter the problem is how do you raise the money for a fight like that? Ugas wouldn’t cost as much but that fight wouldn’t mean as much. Kell Brook, all things being equal, if there wasn’t a travel ban and Kell Brook could come over here he would be the leading guy.”

Kell Brook has accomplished more than Ugas, is better known, and has less losses. Ugas lost to Amir Imam, Brook lost to Errol Spence. If you cant see the difference in that then you are lost with your Cuban bias. I hope Ugas gets the fight, it will add another medalist scalp to Crawford's resume and a guy that beat him in the amateurs. You just tell that mother****er to not turn into a diva when they start talking money because he hasn't accomplished **** all in boxing while having had a longer campaign at 140 than Crawford.

Ugas is one of the top welterweights which he proved by beating Shawn Porter (but then got he robbed of the decision.) The guy means a hell of a lot more in that division than a shot Kell Brook who has been fighting at 154 lbs.

With Ugas you don't have to worry about if he can travel or not. And you don't have to worry about finding a lot of money for the purses.

He is the perfect opponent except for one thing...he wouldn't be easy work for Crawford. And Arum just wants another easy mismatch win for Bud.
Nothing but facts. How is Brook who hasn't fought at 147 and isn't a player in the division a better option than Ugas? As you said Ugas is one of the top guys in the division and was robbed of that Porter decision and he won't cost much to book nor does he have to travel from outside the US. All signs point to him as the best matchup and Arum thinks people will just go with what he says. A darn shame

Brook previously, honestly, admitted he couldn't make 147 safely. Unless he's shrunk in the last year, this is a tragedy waiting to happen
