I honestly don't understand how you pick a slower, more limited fighter in Norton over Fury. A punchers chance but so do many from this same era.

Ali relied on picking guys apart and out playing them round by round , Fury with a current corner ? Can’t see Ali doing much but lasting 12 and not really winning rounds that makes it close . You need to press Fury to defeat him , Ali didn’t like doing that .
Ali would beat Fury to the punch, his hand speed was significantly faster than Fury and lets not forgot Ali's movement.
Fury was the aggressor against Wilder, he was coming forward, that plays perfectly into Ali's style. Ali was simply too fast both in his footwork and handspeed and too technically good for Fury. If Fury was truly as good as everyone seems to think at the moment he wouldn't have struggled so much against fairly mediocre opposition Like John Mcdermott

Fury would box Ali off the back foot in a southpaw stance, drilling him with that freight train Kronk jab until ali looks into the refs eyes with sincerity, tears and blood flowing, and mumbles "no, I don't want anymore of that man, hes crazy".

We've never seen Ali fight someone quite as tall as Fury and he would likely alter his approach given the size difference. He has fought tall fighters though, Ernie terrible was 6.6 and Ali anhilated him.

Liston pressed Ali and was a better fight then history makes out but Fury won’t be lunging while leaving his face in the front ,Liston was also nearing the end of physical peak if not past it by then with shoulder issues ,Fury is very young right now still in today’s game .
Let’s not get it mixed up Fury is not an all time great but he most likely wins this fight if they met there’s simply just to many things Ali himself doesn’t do to really put it on a guy like that for 12 rounds to win where Fury is allowed to fight back,....I think people forget there’s two fighters in the ring at times .Last edited by REDEEMER; 07-17-2020, 09:21 PM.

Were going to have to disagree on this one, I can't see anyway that Fury could beat a fit and focused Ali.
