Sorry but Ali isn't beating a 6'9" 280lb man with the skills of Fury, just not happening.

I can see in 50 years he have heavyweight champions, 7 foot 5, 340lbs, athletic, quick, slick and people will still be saying Ali and Jack Dempsey would kick their asses, nostalgia is a powerful force
      This all day ^^

The sport has moved on, would Bjorn Borg beat Federer at tennis? Would Carl Lewis beat Usain Bolt at 100m?

My dad swears Bobby Charlton would play Messi off the field lol.

Oddly though he's excellent at picking who will win a boxing match after just watching a couple of minutes of footage of both fighters.

I think fury got a good chance to beat Ali h2h. But Ali was from a great era. He beat foreman who did well against holyfield in his 40s

Ali has never seen anything like it.

It's no fun when your opponent can jab you from halfway across the ring, no matter how many shuffles you do.
Jab you and then shuffle back, lol. Ali would be in the fight of his life.

I think we agree Fury would beat Ali, but boxing hasn't advanced like other sports. Athletes can do more, but we have lost more boxing knowledge than we've gained over the years. Other sports are growing, you can't compare boxing to other sports that way. Fury may be the best ever, but the average fighter from the 80s, 70s, 60s, and even 50s would have no problem contending in the soft, low round, safety first, money first world that boxing is today. Back then there were no ducks or hiatus when it got thick.

first... you say fighters are sooooo much better today, than in the past

then... you admit that we have lost more boxing knowledge than we have gained over the years

seriously, of all the fighters to sleep on LMAO
