I agree, he may even be thinking about a way out after having time to reflect. It's interesting that when the news broke about Fury and AJ agreeing financial terms for the 'undisputed' Whyte issues legal proceedings and Wilder stays completely silent, something seems amiss.Last edited by Ant1979; 06-16-2020, 09:22 AM.Comment

Yeah they had to stop it. Because after Fury would have realized his famous lack of punching power was of no effect against an on the ropes battered pool stick(?), things would have went south quickly! Fury would’ve gotten even more desperate.
Fury would’ve used his heavy momentum to continually slam his huge body into Wilder while intentionally missing straight rights (and lefts). Using his body’s momentum to slam Wilder up against the ropes was key in his “brutalized” method in the humping sequel.
Hmmm, The way things were going? Fury would’ve come with a suplex maneuver, then a body slam, then an open palm karate chop to Wilders temple. Yeah man they had to stop it quick! Fury was using everything combat sports had to offer! “Boxing” was simply the icing on the cakeComment

What I think Wilder means is that in HIS eyes Fury isn't the champ yet because there's one more fight to go. There's nothing wrong with that view as he now has to motivate himself to rebound from this. I'm reasonably certain that Fury will win again as long as he remains focused.Comment

I wonder if Fury would’ve fought the Wladimir rematch like he did the Wilder rematch? Funny how he boxed both guys aiming towards a strategic points win, then turned into the brawling marauder for Wilder the 2nd time around.
Fury’s arrogance is in the stratosphere right about now. Signing a deal against the robot shows that it’s hit a fever pitch!
Arrogant fighters are fun to watch because they usually forget some necessary part of their strategy simply because they’re so convinced they’re unbeatable.
Fury better hope there’s a crowd present, because the dull of quiet won’t allow him those “strategic” privileges that the frenzied crowd drowns out with their noise.
The ref will be FORCED to do his job, because there will be an undeniable 3 way conversation that will be entertaining enough on its own.Comment

I think that’s all he means, “there’s one more fight to go.” Nothing disrespectful about that. It may be a forgone conclusion in Fury’s head what’ll take place in the trilogy, Wilder doesn’t have to agree. It’s not over til it’s over. Fury’s always been convinced that he’s never lost his lineal champ status, and lets everyone know till this day. How disrespectful is that? What I think Wilder means is that in HIS eyes Fury isn't the champ yet because there's one more fight to go. There's nothing wrong with that view as he now has to motivate himself to rebound from this. I'm reasonably certain that Fury will win again as long as he remains focused.
So why should Fury let what a ‘measly’ five year champion has accomplished bother him. Give him his props and beat him fair & square in the ring - this last time at least. Unless something is bothering Fury that he just can’t seem to shake off.Comment

I disagree. From a mental standpoint, Wilder will be just fine. He is not a broken fighter. He is yet still confident that he could defeat Tyson Fury because we have yet to see the best of the "Bronze Bomber" in this trilogy. His corner saved him and he acted like a fool after. He had no shot at winning that fight and his corner did what any good corner should. Wilder will not recover mentally from this, he talked so much about Fury being unable to hurt him to being completely destroyed by those "pillow hands". His fanboys are completely broken from this, Fury caused a few mental breakdowns from some of these Wilder fans.
However, I have but one concern and that is what toll did the punishment he absorbed has taken on his body. I wonder would he be his normal self like: Will he be able to take a punch again? What would his stamina look like and how sturdy will his legs and balance be?
These are the questions that I would like to see answered in the trilogy. If he isn't physically damaged then I believe he would win this fight by decision.Comment

I have noticed Wilder's silence too. I believe he's not really committed to the trilogy. Ironically Whyte might be the one to help him out.I agree, he may even be thinking about a way out after having time to reflect. It's interesting that when the news broke about Fury and AJ agreeing financial terms for the 'undisputed' Whyte issues legal proceedings and Wilder stays completely silent, something seems amiss.
But let's not rush to conclusion yet... it still a sport with certain unpredictibility.Last edited by Boxviewer; 06-16-2020, 11:47 AM.Comment
