  • Name a win in boxing history that can’t be criticized

I’m going with Jack Johnson over Tommy Burns.

I have no idea how you criticize that victory.

I think every other victory in boxing history can be criticized. My evidence is this message board.

    Thoughts?

Tyson-Spinks (don't want to hear about Spinks actually being a LHW.) He had previous fights at HW and was undefeated.

      Bowe-Holyfield 1

Wilder can’t box and hasn’t beaten anyone. There shouldn’t have even been a rematch because he lost 10 rounds the first time and got a gift draw.

        See how easy it is?

          Marquez manny part 4

manny had all the advantages coming into the fight. Marquez was angry at being robbed and took matters into his own hands by laying manny out

Spinks was undersized. I’m sorry but that’s the exact criticism of that victory.

Holyfield was a blown up cruiserweight who only beat old guys and a fat Buster Douglas before that loss. He was assumed to have health issues and be shot after another fight just a year later. He was also completely sold down the river as shot until nearly four years later when he beat Tyson (who also sucks according to this board)

Durán was three weight classes above his best weight.

Pacquiao was fighting eight weight classes above the first weight class he won a title in. He was 34 at the time, which is ancient for someone his size. He was coming off a loss prior to that fight and should have been on a two fight losing streak. That loss obviously came during Pacquiao’s decline since he’s 8-4 in his last 12 fights after starting 54-3.

Trevor Berbick won a fake version of the heavyweight title and was never even able to successfully defend it. Tyson did to him exactly what was expected.

Ricky Hatton had already been knocked out by Floyd Mayweather, who is not a puncher. After his loss to Pacquiao, he immediately got knocked out in his next fight, meaning he’s shot, he sucks and Pacquiao shouldn’t get credit.
