I had never seen Viloria but had high expectations of him coming into this fight. He did not show the power I had heard of him having.Nino had been stopped in both of his losses he seemed like a fighter picked to make Viloria looked good but instead came to win and got the upset.Hopefully Viloria will learn from this and get better.Time will tell.
No dude Nino was not picked to make Villoria look good. As I was saying before the fight this is an acid test for Villoria because Nino has the advantage in experience.
Viloria hasn't been the same since the Contreras fight.
Before being too critical of Brian first you have to take into account that he's a really nice guy and second that just 3 fights ago he nearly killed Ruben Contreras.
Now, after Contreras almost died from bleeding on the brain from the hands of Viloria in a 6 rd beating, Brian is more hesitant to let his hands go like he used to.
Some fighters cannot recover from something like that, some take a little time. I hope the latter is the case for Brian because he was a helluva thing to watch prior to that incident.

You may be spot on with this post.
I kept wondering why he wasn't doing anything, it looked like he was holding himself back but I had no reason why.
This was my first time seeing him and I never knew about the Contreras fight.
Didn't Mancini end up the same way after killing that Korean fighter, which also led to the mother of the fighter and the referee commiting suicide?
obviously most of you guys in the west, dont have too much small guys to really see what these guys can do ....
and to tell you frankly, they can REALLY HURT EACH OTHER, only thing they are more conditioned even without training than a HEAVY WEIGHT who have trained for a month, resulting to lesser KOs...
as for Brian, we will see if he can make something for himself after the hype and the this loss, if he can become a champ again or vanish to oblivion ...

Dude, you were hyping him before the fight, you had him winning by 3 round KO.
Styles makes fights, this doesn't mean Viloria is a bum, **** Pac lost when he was young, also many other greats have lost early in their career. This doesn't mean Viloria will never be good, only time will tell.
don't even bother.. he's the most "swayed biased" person on the board by FAR...
on the fight, like i said earlier, it looked as if that it was something wrong on Viloria's side, not so much Nino's performance.. Nino looked very beatable in there from what i saw and with the rumors of training camp having to be moved/delayed due to the heat, who knows what the real situation was, i don't know if Viloria was drained/tired or what, but he sure seemed like he was bothered by something and i have a hard time giving Nino too much credit for it.. btw, i really can't stand the OLN commentators.. too much repetition talk the entire fight
i'd never heard anything about that vB.. interesting
a good win for romero. yes brian's heart isnt in there. i do beleive that brian was more technically sound than omar, but nino's work rate was unbelievable, and he showed more hunger.
brian never learned from the aguirre fight, he was still looking/and setting for the KO punch that lost him the earlier rounds. nino was obviously there for the full 12 rounds like an energizer bunny. he probably thought he could do another ortiz.
brian should be able to now decide whether he is going to a boxer or a puncher. he is being hyped as a puncher was obviously it shows that he's not ready for it.
i also believe a date with calderon or arce is still very much possible but hopes making a big purse may not be that great anymore.
