I still slightly favour Khan, the 09/10 version of Chino was very raw, he didn’t peak until he started working with Garcia. That version of Maidana would have destroyed Khan if they ever had a rematch.

Khan has Samuel Vargas problems these days and isn't getting younger......

Honestly this a perfect match......Chino would be the right guy to discombobulate and banish Khan for good......

Chino hasn’t fought for 6 years though, Khan is on the slide but he has still been an active fighter.

If Maidana is serious about coming back he should at least have one or two tune ups IMO.

The 9/10 Chino pre Garcia had a flaw, as elite as he appeared to be later, breathing at the highest level, back then visually it seems as if he gave no ****s about wins or losses, he was just in the ring to inflict pain and foul win, lose, or dq, vs a runner he gets bored and distracted a few rounds as he didnt come for that...He later mixed his normal style with his short height and added head movement, a underrated jab, and feints, and lastly A grade A measurer of distance, the shots he popped Mayweather with and dropped Broner, were set up by feints, counters and a 100% understanding of his foot work and distance

You know damn well Im talking about Weeks lol.....Weeks has been a blantanty corrupt ref for a minute, I just cant recall fights off the top of the head, guess im getting old.......But Floyd chino One was 2 vs 1 like never seen before.....

Chino admitted to biting Floyd he should've been dqed fight two......

But you are right Bayless shouldn't have been allowed to ref Floyds fights, IMO he ruined Floyds last few fights he reffed, as Floyd wanted to clinch fight and brawl hold and hit, like he did vs Cotto, and Burton and such, but Bayless caught a heart attack every time Floyd got close.....I would've loved to see the big obviously(weight cutting) Floyd walking down welters and chopping them down, but Bayless ruined that for us.......

He lacked technique and needed refining, at that point he was just getting by on his physical attributes.

Robert done a great job, as you say the head movement, feints, the jab especially, all made him a much better fighter. I remember he actually out-jabbing Mayweather in spots in the second fight.

Maidana beat floyd in first fight so even though historically ability wise maidana isn't much.more than a footnote, he does in eyes of many have a win over Floyd as does castillo, Pac and dlh.
Pity Floyd didn't give Pac and dlh rematch and nelo. These would be Floyd s biggest rivals

Yup....He lacked technique only wanted to inflict pain

Off eye that Garcia Chino was elite as they come, he couldnt miss with his jab on the low, deceptively quick as hell as well.....Mayweather put his leaping left hook in his holster the latter half of his career, and you had Chino setting one up with body jabs, and perfectly catching Broner who was one of the best damn defensive fighters in the sport by numbers then, smack dab in the middle of the ring....Chino wasn't no fluke and even coming back off the couch he is not to be slept on, even if he's lost a level or two, he still neck and neck with this no great welter(excluding old Manny) generation IMO

I see your point , respectable
But if he came short before , can’t see him getting off the couch and gaining success
                      Sorry , I just don’t see it
And honestly , they are selling nostalgic thoughts
Some will get suckered in hence the ******** contrast
This is what I would call a suckers bet ; he comes back to beat a name ( passed or like a Broner ) and everybody gets in on it
                      Then pfffffffff
He loses to the big dog like it was supposed to be
