Remember when Maidana was scheduled to fight Ghost Guerrero, Timothy Bradley, and Keith Thurman? All of those fights mysteriously got cancelled.

I saw the fight, Maidana was lucky to win

Ortiz would have won if he didn't quit

Chino is a man of steel... Ortiz is not

Khan fought and beat him eventually though, another great fight as well. I was rooting for Maidana but he just couldn’t find that finishing shot. I gained a lot of respect for Khan that night, I thought Maidana would get to him.

In all honesty, Khan got lucky he outbid Goldenboy and landed the Koltelnik fight. Ortiz was unlucky and had to settle for Maidana. If Khan fought Maidana first instead of Koltelnik, he would have been KO’d. Ortiz would have beaten Koltelnik and these careers would have been very different.

Definitely one of my favorite fights in recent years. Maidana literally getting rolled over during one of the knockdowns and then bam, a short right hand that changed the up and comer landscape.

Ortiz quit and was never the same, but for his part he did put him down a couple times, looking back that's a feat. Maidana turned out to be really good

Man, the way Khan beat maidnana made me believe he was gonna be a star. Boy was I wrong, maidnana had the better pedigree of the two.

It should've been multiple 10-8 rounds, especially when Khan was literally turning his back and running....

Khan vs Maidana 2 at 154 who u got

Would depend how Maidana looks, if it was his first fight back, I’d have to pick Khan
