Im thinking Canelo but feel its not really been established yet, nobody has been as dominate in the press as Mayweather, even in retirement he dominates the forums and creates headlines with everything he does.

You might not like Canelo’s reserve cause he’s perhaps the quietest boxer in all of boxing, even less charismatic than Pacquiao. Canelo means business. A real fighter. His following doesn’t need to play roles in order to sell himself. Rousey, McGregor... those roles were created by design.
Why does it upset you so much?

Upset? Lol. Look at your thread title. Your own premise said “media and trainers say.” Guess what, such facts of plurality overrules you’re theory and disproves your hidden agenda. Kind of a fail thread considering you’re acknowledging what industry think with your premise...

It's either Wilder or Fury. Canelo was the immediate fall-to guy in the aftermath of Floyd retiring but he wasn't leading the pack in PPVs until he fought lil g. His highest PPV before that was 900+ with Miguel Cotto.
However, he's interesting enough to watch but not enough to generate massive HYPE around his next fight. Wilder/Fury? They're getting all the attention now. People want to see how Wilder will return, racists and supporters alike. People want to see if this Fury 2.0 will be permanent. Manny gets more hype around his fights than canelo. That over-paid deadzone deal simply inflated his ego- the brits thought every Mexican, national & American citizen alike, would just get the dazn app the moment Canelo signed. It didn't work like that at all. Know why? because people aren't gullible on this side of the hemisphere like the brits are for eddie...Don't blame canelo for taking it though. But had that opportunity never arises he would be fight and drawing 400k PPVs as usual. Deadzone will just go bankrupt is all. Lil g took all that money and a % of deadzone JUST to continue his cherrypicked career and the app is almost dead lmao! Can't make this stuff up. Top 5 draws in the Sport:
Wilder, excluding the Fury rematch he's done better #s than Fury
Fury, next biggest thing in the sport and has the money + media coverage to prove it
Manny, an old legend who still has the attention of the world
Clenelo, extremely overpaid on dazn, but lets not kid ourselves he's still a good draw
Spence since men lie, women lie but numbers don't. Two successful PPVs reminiscent of Canelo before the Lil g fights + deadzone handouts & very reminiscent of Manny's PPV life throughout the 2010s. Not Global like Manny, Not international like Wilder/Fury/Canelo...but there's levels to being international. Wilder and Fury are a level above Canelo on the international scene. Spence is a level underneath canelo on the international scene. Some good wins over elite and widely recognized competition from other countries would Give Errol a boost. He stopped Kell and the brits have known about Errol ever since.

Since Mayweather retired, we are always told by the media and other boxers that Canelo is the face of boxing. However, looking at the numbers of DAZN his pulling power doesn’t seem to show he is the face of boxing. I personally feel their is no face of boxing at the moment, but the two fighters that could be considered close are Canelo in north and South America, and Anthony Joshua in Europe.

Who do you think is the face of boxing if any? If you look at other sports soccer, football, MMA etc they all have faces when you think about them
                  Probably Manny Pacquiao?

If "the face of boxing" refers to the countries where boxing is really big right now (Americas and the UK), then surely Canelo.

If we are speaking about global recognition (also by casuals), then probably Fury.

Very few people in Europe (excluding the UK, but that is, after all, only a small part of Europe in terms of population) know Canelo, whereas Fury (and to a lesser degree, Joshua) are in the news at least once in a while. In Germany for instance, there has not been much interest in boxing ever since the Klitschkos, whom the Germans had semi-adopted, retired. But if one name is known there right now, it is Fury, followed by Joshua.
