If elite level boxers and trainers say Canelo is, its about P4P respect, paygrades, technique, fanbase.

Canelo did 17million sales in 2019. He’s not a Heavyweight, and AJ has said numerous times he’s a big fan of Canelo.

Like I said, trainers and boxers say, unless you want to convince us that most industry videos come from the UK?

Every UK British Boxing channel talks about Canelo. Lol

And do realize DAZN UK is still a go. You think Canelo funna get promotion there?

Nobody really, people say Canelo but nobody gives a **** about him outside boxing fans in Mexico and USA And a few hard-core fans dotted around the world.

He might be the man in boxing along with a couple of others when it comes to money, but he’s not a crossover superstar over the world.

Since Mayweather retired, we are always told by the media and other boxers that Canelo is the face of boxing. However, looking at the numbers of DAZN his pulling power doesn’t seem to show he is the face of boxing. I personally feel their is no face of boxing at the moment, but the two fighters that could be considered close are Canelo in north and South America, and Anthony Joshua in Europe.

Who do you think is the face of boxing if any? If you look at other sports soccer, football, MMA etc they all have faces when you think about them

Yeah there has never really been a crossover superstar across the world since Floyd and Manny. There has been was a big stars fighters own countries like Canelo in Mexico and Fury and Joshua in the UK. Apart from Floyd v McGregor who are the two biggest names in combat sport since Tyson, then Floyd v Manny was the last fight that Was a big deal on a global scale amongst casuals and people who don’t really watch boxing.

Really your average sports fan in most countries don’t care about Canelo, AJ, Fury etc. or know much about them.

If we’re talking about active fighters, you could actually really say Manny is the most well known worldwide, people in every continent and country are well aware of him, Even people who don’t follow boxing so much. he might not be the most relevant right now , but in terms of pure name recognition, he would still be the most famous active fighter across the world, Probably by some distance.

lol. You already promoted the premise of your insecurity, and you even contradicted yourself and proved my point. Opposed to IFL TV, what other relevant channels and industry matter? Everyone knows boxing is bigger in the USA. Therefore, 17mil gate sales in 2019 went to Canelo. You already showed the proof to acknowledge what “media and trainers” say.

You might not like Canelo’s reserve cause he’s perhaps the quietest boxer in all of boxing, even less charismatic than Pacquiao. Canelo means business. A real fighter. His following doesn’t need to play roles in order to sell himself. Rousey, McGregor... those roles were created by design.
