Which champ? Dude just nearly lost to like the #3 Middleweight.
But anyways I think the DAZN contract gets him pretty much the same regardless of who he fights if it ain't Canelo. Besides maybe the dude just thought he's got a better chance of beating guys his own size, who knows? Point is there ain't any need to 'refuse' something that ain't required of you. Why does it matter? Likelihood is he ain't wanting to move up, or indeed fight a real threat like Andrade is because it might put a third Canelo payday in jeopardy. I suspect DAZN probably ain't exactly encourging him to take too many risks either.

It runs from Bantam at 56Kg (123.5Lbs) to the Lightweight limit of 60Kg (132Lbs) with nothing in between. For most ammy competions it used to be same day weigh in but the WSB used previous day weigh ins. Typically there didn't used to be as much weigh cutting in the ammys due to the same day weigh ins, but there may have been some in the WSB.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-02-2020, 08:25 PM.Comment

If that were true, he would have been three pounds over the Amateur lightweight limit.
To give an example I fought at 178 (light heavyweight) and 200 (heavyweight) but I never weighed at the limit. Heavyweight is 179-200 with same day weigh in.Comment

When did this happen? it specifically states in the WSB rules that dudes weighing over the weighclass limit (60Kg or 132Lbs in this case) will lose by default. All we know is that he weighed in at 132 or under
If you got some evidence that Lomachenko weighed over 132 for the WSB you better share it with AIBA man, cos they'll be very interested I think.
What we do know is that for the Olympics in 2012 he had to weigh in every day and be under 132Lbs, so no rehydration or weightcutting there.
At 135 and now in his 30s Loma is probably fairly comfortable and rehydrates to somewhere in the high 130s maybe 140, which will make him 5 - 10Lbs lighter than most of the guys he's facing in the ring I think.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-02-2020, 08:42 PM.Comment

Thanks my friend. I like that 10 lb range. I think it's a good system. Did Loma weigh in the lower or upper limit at weigh ins?It runs from Bantam at 56Kg (123.5Lbs) to the Lightweight limit of 60Kg (132Lbs) with nothing in between.
