bute wasnt invited to the super six now was he? also why didnt he ask mr sartison to beat one legit guy?

who is bute again? oh that guy that lost in every step up fight and has 5 l's on his record lol

you simply cant fight everyone....we could run this same game on golovkin and ask why he didnt fight everyone right? we could do this for just about every major fighter and pick apart "why didnt he fight this guy or that guy"...."hey why didnt floyd fight margarito" right? but floyd is a legit ATG and margarito is a nobody.....just like bute
why didnt floyd fight marg? same scenario. floyd fought unranked sharmba for less money and judah coming off a loss while telling marg to keep winning. why didnt those guys have to keep winning? why wont you admit guys duck sometimes? doesnt mean you have to hate them or that they suck as boxers

1st off I normally always disagree with everything you say,& I am a past big Ward fan(past mostly because he annoys me now a bit as a biased commentator & I don't agree with him retiring when he did, still a fan of his body work),that being said I have to agree that Ward was in no hurry to fight Bute who although a hypejob of epic proportions was most definitely considered the most credible threat at the time.

BUT it doesn't really matter in the end anyways because Ward still can't be said to have ducked him considering everyone he did fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr. rejected promoter Bob Arum's $8 million offer to fight welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito, and he instead exercised a provision in his contract to buy Arum out.

this is why floyd didnt fight margarito.....but if you read here...if you knew what actually happened you would have known arum said he actually did agree to fight margarito......but floyd wanted future guarantees to fight cotto and hatton and bob wouldnt meet those guarantees....arum lost floyd over a few million because he was shortsighted and didnt know that floyd would break through and become a mega star......bob thought floyd had reached his ceiling

bob was talking all nice here about floyd...until floyd started working with golden boy...then bob turned dirty and vindictive when it came to floyd

you are a know nothing idiot....a pure hater who is very little

he was the "most credible threat" because all of the other threats were taken out or taking each other out......bute was on the sidelines...whether his fault or not....he was fighting nobodies....ward told him to go beat one of his leftovers first and prove he belonged...he failed...miserably

if bute had been in that tourney theres a good chance he leaves with 2-3 L's...think about that for a minute....

this isnt a "was bute good a good fighter" thread. its a why did ward duck bute thread.

Ward was another ducker who won most of his fights with rough/cheating tactics apart from the Froch fight.

It's funny how people think he was a great fighter now and the same is applicable to the huge HGH head having pillow fisted Timothy Bradley.
