    Interesting point actually.

Everyone knew the DLH and Castillo (and later Maidana) gameplan is the way to fight Floyd, but Canelo did not do that at all. Was a very odd strategy...similar to Kovas against Canelo

Canelo has never been a physical, mauling fighter. He boxes and counters. He’s almost always been the bigger fighter and yet the only time he really stood his ground and pushed forward was the GGG 2 fight (against a similar size fighter). Check the Khan fight for reference, I think if he wanted he could’ve just walked Khan down, gotten messy and taken him out earlier, but that’s not his style.

He likes clean work, and to avoid getting hit (even though he’s got an elite chin).

Yes. Let's take a young, popular, undefeated superstar who is odds on to become one of boxing's most lucrative fighters ever. Let's take his biggest opportunity, a fight that could give him the ability to practically turn water into liquid gold. Let's take that fight and throw it, for a fighter in his late 30's who barely competes anymore. Seems legit.

And as for Kovalev. Why hold onto a championship and make decent money validating your claim as one of the best fighters of your era when you can lose your belt, a large chunk of your legacy and practically all of your future earning power for one big payday. Also you are doing it while clearly taking a legit, flush shot to the jaw. I know that's how i like to spend my saturdays..

This all seems like good business as well as just bright in general.

Said that from day 1. Both sold themselves out, both negotiated away any chance of winning.

Neither fighter took a dive. In both cases the smarter, more technical fighter won.

Idk about all that.... But i always thought it was dumb to throw Canelo in with Floyd that stage of his career.

But looking at that draw scorecard i kinda see why lol

Only LDBC minds think like this. Just cliche statements based on one card. You’d think ideal shadyness would be Bradley vs PAC 1 where the performance doesn’t match all the cards.

You same bozos don’t acknowledge the dons of scoring like Moretti. If Moretti had his card reversed then you could talk about “scorecards.” One judge doesn’t equal three.

It ain’t about Canelo. It’s about scorecards. Who won majority in the Mayweather fight? Learn the average
