I am a big fan of Vitali. I believe he is an ATG. He lost very few rounds in his entire career. The Lewis fight I still watch to this day. I enjoyed watching all his fights. I like Vlad, good guy. Couldn't stand watching his fights.
    They ******.

We can all agree that he had a china chin and fought in such a way that was not pleasing to watch. This ruined the heavyweight division in terms of exposure to casual fans.

I wish he fought like the fake fighter Ivan Drago. He had the look, the size, the intelligence, and he could speak well. Not to mention PhD's. I respect the man and his accomplishments. If he Ko'd his opponents in barn burner fights he could have transcended the sport and everyone would have watched. Instead the opposite happened and nobody cared.
The brothers did the sport a service by avoiding Don King's traps and exposing him.
I give him the utmost respect for his 10 yr reign, and the man's character. But he's not an ATG, Vitali is.

Finally we have 3 guys at the top who can scrap, and we haven't had that since Lewis was champ. 2 of them have beaten Vlad and would have done the same at any point of his career.

Let me be clear I respect Vlad and like him. I just can't give him ATG status. He wasn't that good.

Yes they were! Vitali Lewis is one of my favorites. Big fan of Vitali
Not a fan of Vlad as a fighter. I like the guy, not his fights.
Vlad Peter was exciting because we were on edge to see if his career would be over if he could hold on and not be starched again.
Vlad AJ. My God yes that was great. One fight. The other 90% of his fights against stale non hungry opponents. No.

Vitali was definitely the better Klitschko IMO. Wladimir was more athletic and slightly better technically but Vitali had much more toughness, resolve, and that granite chin that Wlad lacked. He never lost on merit either. (Injury vs Byrd and the cut against Lewis.) If he didn’t have his injury troubles in the mid 2000’s, he would have had a far greater career IMO.

Definitely. He lost few rounds. And was never dominated, he always dominated. One of the all time best and one of the most underated fighters ever this side of Micheal Spinks.

                  Who exactly did Wladimir beat?

                  Haye? Povetkin?

His best win was Chris Byrd. Is Chris Byrd all that much better than Briggs, Sanders, Peter etc.

Both Klitschko’s were great fighters but neither beat top opposition- not through fault of their own through the most part...

I’d add Ken Norton to that list also...

So true you has to say it twice? Dont worry man only teasing. 👍🏻😃 I think Vitali was better but injuries messed him up. Wladimir became less exciting when he relished his chin was shaky. You can only beat what’s in front of you so Wlad has to be respected for his long reign. He still beat all the top guys available in those 10 years
