No version of Canelo would've beaten Mayweather because they styles just doesn't mesh well, Mayweather would've always been quicker ,smarter and more mobile than Canelo. Some fighters just have your number, Roy Jones had Toney's number, Tarver had Jones's number, Mayweather had Canelo's number.

About the age i don't agree with you, a 36 year old Mayweather would beat any 23 yr champion of the last 3 decades not named Roy Jones Jr. Mayweather is an all time great that's how good he was even at his final performances.

My comment was more towards the Canelo fans who try and act as if age was the main factor as to why he lost. At canelo had already been a pro for a long time and had over 40 pro fights. He was a 2 time world champion and already beaten champions/former champions like mosley, baldomir, cintron and trout after trout jusg beat Cotto. So the wet behind the ears argument some fans try to portray isn't accurate imo

He was dominated by a man fighting above his weight class and passed his prime at over 10 years older, who was also at least 15lbs lighter in the ring. No he didn’t get busted up as Mayweather was fighting way above his vest weight, but he did get his a$$ thoroughly whooped. Not just out boxed, schooled.
