That was just a lesson in the fine art. The boy lost every minute not just every round. The good thing is he was taught a boxing lesson and he picked stuff from there which is good. He learnt defence, moving his head and upper body, some shoulder roll and bits of the Philly Shell. If he wasn’t so heavily built he would have learnt foot work as well but when your feet are made of lead that’s a non starter.

Footwork isn't necesarily moving a lot.

Nah, it was a great risk to take. A 23 yr old athlete should always have the advantage over a 36 yr old one. Not to mention, that mayweather wasn't big enough to lay down a career ending beat down. Merely an embarrassing boxing lesson. Then when canelo lost, he, his team and his fans hold onto the excuse that they were too young and it served as a lesson. The belief on their end is that the post version of Canelo would've beaten the version of mayweather that he lost to, but that's laughable.

No version of Canelo would've beaten Mayweather because they styles just doesn't mesh well, Mayweather would've always been quicker ,smarter and more mobile than Canelo. Some fighters just have your number, Roy Jones had Toney's number, Tarver had Jones's number, Mayweather had Canelo's number.

About the age i don't agree with you, a 36 year old Mayweather would beat any 23 yr champion of the last 3 decades not named Roy Jones Jr. Mayweather is an all time great that's how good he was even at his final performances.
