Yes. He doesn't think generating American interest & dollars are as important as generating praise from his legion of die-hard British cheer girls online...who are not even able to receive dazn in the uk.

He didn’t choose wrong. He lost and made the same money he would have made for losing to Alvarez.

Of course GGG is considered the easier fight. He’s almost 40.

It was impossible for Derevyanchenko to duck Alvarez. Alaverez was in control and decided not to fight.

Guess it’s just as hard to get a decision over GGG If your name isn’t Alvarez. And I’m glad to see you admit that GGG was the easier fight of the 2 (“GGG is old and lost to Canelo”. “The Canelo fight is basically more dangerous and has the same financial payoff.“) Because that contradicts your original statement of Alvarez vacating. And proves SD ducked that fight for the easier route

We all know that Derev never wanted to fight Alvarez. He was stalling negotiations so that the IBF can strip Alvarez and he can go fight GGG vacant belt. That’s why he was in negotiating with team GGG while negotiating with Alvarez. Spin it however you want he ducked Alvarez. Alvarez never said he relinquished his tittle. He was stripped of it for taking longer than the time frame the IBF has set.

Derevyanchenko’s team was negotiating with GGG’s team to see if the offer was comparable and to use it as leverage in the Canelo negotiations.

                That’s something anyone would do.

Again, Derevyanchenko didn’t have control over whether the IBF stripped Canelo Alvarez. He also wasn’t going to get to pick his next opponent. It had to be Canelo if Canelo wanted to keep his title.

Canelo’s team made an offer GGG’s team was willing to match. Derevyanchenko asked for more money or a purse bid. Canelo’s team chose neither and vacated.

That’s on Canelo’s team. They could have given Derevyanchenko $7 million and kept the title. They said no over $1.5 million. Canelo makes $35 million a fight.

The fight was clearly too high risk and low reward for them so they vacated. I understand the decision but that’s a duck.

GGG team didn’t match it. He got 5 mil. Alvarez offered 5.5mil. Facts don’t lie. He chose the easier fight for less money. If you chose to fight the 3rd or 4th best MW in the world over the #1 P4P fighter in the world for LESS $. Sorry to break it to you but that’s a business move and a clear subtle DUCK. Again He was stripped. Like I said before you can twist it however you want to fit you’re narrative. But it doesn’t make it true.

He got $5.2 million from GGG, so yes, it was $300k less.

                      That doesn’t change anything.

Derevyanchenko didn’t duck Canelo because he couldn’t force Canelo to vacate the title.

SD could have only ducked Canelo if he declined to fight for the title when he was named mandatory. That’s not what happened, he entered negotiations.

SD was offered $5.5 million from Canelo. He wanted $7 million. He knew if it went to purse bid, he would get somewhere around $18 million.

Canelo vacated over $1.5 million when he makes $35 million a fight.

                      Spin it however you want.
