do you follow sports? Do you follow boxers outside of Canelo? Do a little research about when guys start to show physical decline in professional sports and get back to me, but here's a little hint..... In the entire history of any sport, it is extremely rare that an athlete who is 35 and older, is the same as they were when they were in their late 20s to early 30s. If you need proof as it specifically relates to boxing, look at the age ranges I just gave you and check out the performances of guys like Chavez, Oscar, Roy Jones, Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, at 35 yrs old age and older, then compare it to when they were younger. Even guys who have had success beyond 35 like a pac, mayweather or Foreman, were still not the same caliber of fighters that they were when they were younger.

Jab Jab keeping it real. Very few boxers can make the changes needed to keep performing after 35. For sure Hopkins and Mayweather were blessed with that ability, as were some others, but its rare.

Golovkin is still top 10 and the ripe old age he is thats pretty impressive, but there can be no doubt about his decline. A prime Golovkin would have iced Dervy, but his speed and reflexes have declined - not saying he was ever fast, just that there has been a loss.

I'm with the pack in that there is no real point in Canelo v GGG III anyway, its an easy win for Canelo.

For Golovkin its all just exit strategy from here onwards, be it the big cashout with Canelo or a string of lesser opponents.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But he’s fighting a “Mandatory” that was never mandated to fight by the IBF. So why would they strip him if he said look this corona virus shtt messes with the fight date ima go fight Alvarez instead.
