Oh you mean slick southpaws like Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell who he already dominated. We know he can beat leftys that like to box. This will be a ridiculously easy fight as Spinks is a slightly more skilled version of Zab Judah with no power. Baldomir and Margarito probably don't have the "marquee" wins that Spinks has but I think both are more difficult fights for Floyd. They both have good chins, come forward, and constantly attack. Floyd will not be outboxed by anyone in the lower weight classes. Floyd probably would beat all three I just want to see the best fight (most entertaining which this will not be). Glass KO1 Spinks' Jaw (whoever posted that is genius).

This is different. No righty will give Floyd a hard time by boxing him. I dont think no righty will give him a hard time period. A lefty is different. Spinks is a elite boxer & his Southpaw style could give Floyd trouble. He is also a big/strong guy.

Its like Callazo. Just because you dont have tremendous power doesnt mean your not strong. I could see Spinks overpowering Floyd at times like Callazo did Hatton & Santos did Margarito at times.

Spinks is a slick southpaw with alot of speed & is the best boxer Floyd has ever faced.

Floyd could still kill him but I also wouldnt be surprised one bit if Spinks pulled a upset. Put it this way, I would be less shocked if Floyd got beat by Spinks then I would of him being beat by Oscar, Shane, Margarito, or Baldy

Just because other guys are slick Southpaws doesnt mean there the same. Zab still gave Floyd hell for the 1st 4 rounds and everytime Floyd has been stunned in his career has been by a lefty. Spinks is far more consistent then those other 2 guys and is a better pure boxer

The sad part about this fight is that if Floyd does kill him he wont even get any credit for it. Its almost better if Floyd struggles. Instead of people giving Floyd props for dominating a world class boxer, he will be ripped and say that Spinks is a easy opponent which is a joke.

There is no way in hell that Baldy could even win a single round against Floyd much less a whole fight. For all the credit he got in the win over Zab, it was still a super close fight, Zab dominted him early, & was easily outboxing him when he was focused. Against Gatti Baldy did well but still got hit a ton & when Gatti broke his hand, Baldy struggled to do anything & Gatti actually started to outbox him.

Basically, Baldy will always struggle with a boxer with speed, let alone the best boxer in the world with maybe the most speed

So your justification for this is that Zab was winning some rounds for 1/3 of the fight? To me that sounds like a pretty thorough beat down especially when you consider that Zab was heading for slumber until the low blow. Spinks' jaw is equally if not more suspect than Zab Judah's. And I don't know what you're talking about with Spinks being the "bigger" man. What is he going to do lean on Floyd till he collapses? He can't punch so what is the difference if he is bigger. He surely won't dominate by using his size to impose his will...he's a runner/counter puncher. Floyd will bring the fight to him and show that he is the best boxer in the lower weight divisions. Cory Spinks hasn't looked impressive to me once in his career so I don't see how he beats Floyd.

Spinks holds wins over Mayorga, Judah and Karmazin. Karmazin who spanked Ouma with ease and was considered the ruler of 154.
Would you happen to know why the fight against Baldomir isnt happening?

Nobody thinks Baldomir has a better pedigree than Spinks. Spinks got a chance early in his career that Baldomir never did. Baldomir probably would get easily outboxed by Floyd, but he would never quit or run. He would constantly pressure Floyd and make him output effort constantly. Spinks isn't going to pressure anybody. Sure he might win a couple of rounds by running and boxing but who cares. Baldomir offered a linear title at 147 (which is important when you've been picking out paper titles in the last two weight divisions you were in). I wouldn't have a problem with this fight in February as a tune up at 154, but now it makes little sense.

WOW, Im am so shocked. He watches Judah get his ass kicked by a nobody and makes a fight immediatley and now he watches Spinx RUN to a CLOSE victory and then cry about it and he makes a fight with him.
Mayweather is definatley the BEST, he has just proved it.
I mean seriously, what kind of a threat does Spinx bring to him?
He cant Ko him, cant out box him, oohhhhh I know what is he gonna fall on Mayweather from exhaustion.
Seriously I was gonna give Floyd more respect for fighting La Rocka.(my sig).

I don't know why you guys are all upset over this fight.

At least Spinks is going to actually land punches on Floyd with his speed.

That's more than Baldomir would do, who would just be a punching bag for 12 rounds.

Spinks is a much trickier fight for Floyd.
