I feel bad for Marquez. His goal was to be #1 had he beaten Mayweather... to his credit doe, his victory over PAC is perhaps the craziest KO of the last decade. He deserves that. But he shouldn’t hate that in the Hispanic world of boxing news, the media simply always talk about Canelo. When you think about it, Nacho’s time ended with Marquez. They don’t want to acknowledge that it’s Reynoso’s time. Granted Eddy isn’t in the league of Nacho and how what he did with the Mexican national teams and the Olympics, but the Reynoso’s got a Superbad team atm.

I think you're right to some degree with his 15 and 0 KO %. Beterbiev is tough as nails and is naturally comfortable at light heavy. He's not a "boxer" though, but like you alluded to, he should be one of the guys Canelo proves his legacy credentials on....

Canelo has been known to be a weight bully (at times), so why not fight light heavy Beterbiev instead of old past prime Kovalev? ....But one can argue that Beterbiev is past his prime too - at 35 - with 15 wins against bums!...

Come to think of it, Canelo gets no respect from his hater posse, OR from you or me potentially - if he fights 15 and 0 Beterbiev and wins.
