The only real WW contender that Tito didn't fight was Ike and that was because Ike fell of the map after his controversial loss to DLH.

I think a better question would be to ask Who Tito didn't fight when he was a WW. Tito was a great WW, greater than SRL...hmmm, I'm dont know about but some what debatable, however his is great non the less. His only losses come at MiddleWeight which is 2 divisions up, even DLH who is almost univerally considered great got demolished when he moved up too high.
    GREAT POST PLAYA....

I'm not trying to deny that Trinidad was a really good fighter that definitely is HOF worthy. To me, Camacho, Campas and Carr were good opponents but not great. Trinidad barely beat DLH but I'll give him that. Other than that the best guys he fought were Hopkins and Wright. SRL beat Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler who I think were better fighters than anyone Trinidad fought except maybe DLH (depending on how you rate him). The reason I point to as SRL being greater is that he moved up to MW and beat a guy a lot like Hopkins in Hagler (yes the fight was disputed but I'm giving Trinidad the win over DLH so we're taking this as a win for SRL).

Also he fought Duran twice and beat him once. I think Duran is also better than anyone Tito fought save for DLH (depending on how you rate him)

dude you are trippin....But we all are here to talk boxing and disputed your opinions to the fulliest. But to say SRL is and was a better WW the Tito is simply crazy..old school fighter always get the major propz...well not from your boy...SRL lose to Duran and Hagler(yes he was robbed)....Tito did not lose a fight until he stepped up to MW...so therefore on a WW level, Tito is the best ever..

I rate Duran in my top 3 fighters of all time. But again I am not saying Tito was or is better than SRL, I think thats pushing it, however I would rate Tito higher than DLH. But once again you can't blame Tito for anything at WW because he fought Every contender at WW. He also won convincingly over all of them other than DLH. Who has DLH fought better than Tito's competition? Old Chavez? Only Ike Quartey and by the time Sugar Shane came on as a real contender at WW Tito was already going up for the Middleweight tournament. Which contener did he not fight? I tell you right now if there was a WW out there that cleaned up the WW division and fought almost all the top contenders there wouldn't be as much criticisim as there is currently for Tito.

Be fair... if I give Tito the DLH win then you have got to give the Hagler win to SRL. Do you really think that Tito would beat SRL head to head at WW? I think SRL had the stamina to fight the DLH style for the whole fight without running the last 4 rounds and wins a UD. Overall though I agree that older fighters seem to get the benefit of the doubt over the new guys, but that is all of sports. Sometimes people just need a little perspective to realize how great modern athletes are.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. Tito didn't duck anybody at WW and he was undefeated. Personally I rate DLH as a better fighter just because I think he won the fight against Tito. But that is just my opinion and I totally respect your opinion that Tito was better as there is evidence on both sides. I think we can both agree that both are great fighters that will go down as two of the better WW's of all time.

Also what other tough fights did he take below MW? He didn't look so invincible against Vargas... in fact if he doesn't use a low blow he probably would have been KO'd. Take Tito for what he is/was... a good WW with power in both hands that could box a little. He always had trouble with superior boxers and DLH outlined the plan for how to beat him then Hopkins and Wright executed it.
He was never hurt when Vargas dropped him. DLH clearly was the best boxer.

Who knows, there's still hope they might fight again, otherwise why would Tito still train? And that I got it from his cousin.

Well said, and like previously stated maybe they give us a rematch at 154 or something.
