So are u saying roids gave him stamina? The guy fought 15 rounds early in his career, well before project omega. Does that mean pro bodybuilders have great stamina from roids? I don’t doubt Evander took gear to bulk up, but maintaining his stamina only proves that he worked hard at it. There’s nothing that Evander has ever shown that suggests he would ever “gas out easy”. The dude bounces on his toes all night. Take sum gear, work out, add 20lbs, and see if your cardio improves without working on it. It’s like saying Roids improved Bonds eyesight.Comment

Problem with all those guys from the past is, they would be small heavyweights in todays era.
I mean, Foreman was called "Big George" in 70s and 90s, but he is the same size as Kownacki.Comment

Holyfield had tremendous heart and could take a punch. I have no doubt he would do well against past HW since they were generally not as large as what you see today in what will probably become a new division. Today's 250+ heavyweights would do well against past generations simply on size alone.
P.S. I still do not understand people's obsession with pointing out someone may have been using PED's. I personally do not care, these people get paid to perform so why is it wrong to take something that helps their performance?Comment

The heavyweights of the past are far better than today's ones. Maybe Tyson Fury would have been competitive yes. Holyfield, a tough fight for any great heavyweight of any era. Imagine Marciano vs Holyfield, we can but speculate.Comment

Why do people hate Holyfield so much? He was a warrior and was fairly athletic, could take a punch, and had decent skills too. Lennox couldn't KO him and Tyson couldn't hurt him. Sure, he would have done well in all eras. Maybe not a champion but a decent and dangerous competition.Comment

And people get upset when I say that Povetkin or Hunter is too small in this era. Anything less than 6'4" is small today when you have 6'9", 6'7", and 6'6". You may pull off a one time upset (Andy Ruiz) but you ain't ruling the division for long.Comment
