except it wasn't a lucky punch. It was a comprehensive beating and display of skill. So emphatic that AJ quit.

It just that he could have made such a lot more over just a year or two if he beat AJ again. Even just for fighting for the money, he would be such a big star. He will get other chances, but there are parts of my job that I hate too.

I do them. And Im sure as **** not getting 25 million of so to do them. Andy is a professional athlete, getting into reasonable shape and giving the paying public something resembling conditioning isn't much to ask.

Are you listening Dillian Whyte, who weighs almost as much as Andy.

Strange how the US and now Mexico has become the land of the excuse makers. Does anyone give the other guy any credit anymore? It's all "that wasn't me" and "overeating happened".. Always something.

You might win a battle but he lost the war...emphatic points win is enough

I don't think it's "hate" for Ruiz - it's more of a combination of disappointment and disgust for how he treated that opportunity. The man is a professional, and because of his aloofness and penchant for laziness and gluttony, he threw away arguably the biggest prize in sports. Couple that with the fact that he was the first Mexican to ever hold that distinction, and it's hard not to be critical. A lot of Mexicans took immense pride in Andy's first performance, and I'd assume felt personally let down in the second go-round.
I'm still rooting for the guy to come back stronger, wiser, and fully committed. He has all the tools to fight even with either of the 3 if he decides to fully dedicate himself. Time will tell.

It's called telling the truth. What is Manny Robles a Ruiz "hater" now because he called it like it happened? GTFOH. Nothing can take away his upset win but whether he wants to continue to have success is up to Ruiz and whether he's really motivated enough to put the work in.

Hopefully for Ruiz's sake, he sees these comments and uses it as ammunition to prove Robles and the rest of the world wrong.

I'll be the first to admit Andy let me down along with a lot of other people but people overreact he lost a rematch to AJ by a boring points decision where he didn't even suffer a lot of damage just a cut people are comparing him to Buster Douglas but he didn't get knocked out in 3 rounds to a Cruiserweight in his first defense.

He is still young and has skills just needs to get disciplined he is not damaged goods maybe he won't be the same based on his new lifestyle but how can people just assume when they haven't even seen him fight again.

AJ got beat up concussed and still came back to win his title yet it's impossible for Andy lol it's crazy how much pride you all take in AJ winning a decision yeah its 1-1 was a just decision but your guy got beat up and knocked out between the 2 wins Andy's is definitely better and if they never fight again people will remember Ruiz knocking out Joshua not AJ winning a points decision.

Ruiz is under 6”2 ,you’re asking a heavy footed undersized guy to get a title back . Ruiz literally has no chance at a Fury like fighter as well where AJ has a 82 inch reach and is over 6”5 . Boxing is a numbers game not just getting a title back ,it’s not so easy as AJ made it look and would and will be a mountain to climb for Ruiz with other big heavyweights not just AJ, Joyce, DDD , Hrgovic ,Mahkmudov ,and evening,Usyk who is a very bad match up because of his movement are all here , not even including Hughie and Tyson ,there’s just many guys that are going to be difficult for him I’d even say the 6”5 plus Wallin gives him trouble . I don’t even see Ruiz getting by Wilder either just on the height disparities.

Edit : Ruiz also ate and drank a lot before the weigh in so it made him look bad or worse then the actual circumstances, anyone who knows boxing will tell you fighters don’t eat much fight day and are usually lighter hours later so give or take subtracting the pounds with no gear on as well, he probably weighed 270 or so if he was 280 or whatever he was ,people just don’t want to give credit to AJ and would just find something else ,I noticed that on here . But my point stands ,AJ simply matches much better with guys who would give Ruiz trouble , he has a shot at Whyte, Parker and Povetkin and I have him over Ortiz but that’s because certain things do t come into play in these type of fights.
