Even a player as great as Larry Byrd has only done it twice. He has the highest free throw percentage in history. He was a low volume high percentage shooter. So are you saying Nash is a better basketball player overall than Kobe and Byrd.

Does Kobe only make 20% of his shots?? No! He makes almost 50% and can kill ya from anywhere on the court.

Golovkin might have been "robbed" in both fights, but Canelo is the better and more skilled fighter.

Canelo adjusted in the rematch, which is why he gave Golovkin more trouble.

The only Problem i have with Canelo is he is becoming more and more conservative in his approach ,it seems clear to me that he found his pacing ,his comfortable in the ring ,his defense improved greatly ,but he is trying to be like Floyd just pick his shots and outpoint opponent ,but as i said his not so active so after every fight some people will say that Canelo didnt do enough .This style is clearly working for him so im not knockin him.

He could go harder on Cotto in theyr fight and knock him out , i Belive that there were moments in middle rounds of 2nd ggg fight where he could push Golovkin who felt hard body shots , but he clearly feel that his doing enough ,he definetly have one more gear to switch on.

IMO overall his better fighter then Golovkin ,more proven for sure.

Canelo is the more aesthetically pleasing to watch, but to say he’s “better” is all relative. Is he better right now? Probably, because I’d favour him to beat ggg if they fought tomorrow. Is he the better fighter overall? It’s hard to say that when he arguably lost to a past prime ggg 2x while at his peak. Prime for prime, I’d say ggg is the better fighter.

Where do you come up with this crap. Nash had a career 90.4% free throw percentage . The highest in history. You are like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. 😂😂I was waiting for someone to pull him up on that. Most of the greats took way too many shots and therefore too many tough shots to have a great percentage. Great players don’t often get open looks.

Could argue it was a styles thing, of course but in the absence of more compelling evidence I'll provisonally go with what I've seen. Can also reasonably argue that Canelo's still improving - and I'm inclined to think he is - so I'm cool waiting to see what transpires.

Exactly right. Some of these clowns think that landing 50% of 50 shots (25 for the math-challenged) should count more than the fighter who lands 30% of 100 (30). Greater number of punches means more aggression and should be rewarded accordingly.

its called "effective aggression"...not aggression....depending on the type of punches landed id lean toward the guy that landed 25 out of 50....over the guy that landed 30 out of 100...hes more efficient and more effective.....its simply not a contest of who throws more punches......again it would depend on the type of punches landed....but without seeing them id lean on the guy landing 25/50 over the guy doing 30/100
