but hes not fooling any of us constantly talking about those guys and wondering why he cant get fights...hes gonna be over there shouting all their names and acting like he doesnt know why he isnt getting meaningful fights...
He got paid well for fighting cans true, and each of his ppv’s flopped big time....costing his promoter and networks in the red status. That won’t happen post Covid. He isn’t a ppv star, never has been. What FOX could do for him is put him live on prime time airwaves so that the casual fan could see him, including more of his state. So yes he has done well for himself if we are talaking about money, but that’s not all we are talking about. The fact that he does t draw flies to shizzle means it’s that much harder to make fights with spence, Manny, etc in which ESPN and FOX would have to come together and spend massive amounts of bread to even promote the fight. That only happens when the return is a gamble worth taking. Crawford simply isn’t big enough for that yet. And you’re right, he isn’t getting the fights he wants because of the direction he himself has chosen to take.

Crawford reminds me of a young

James Buddy McGirt Sr. Not Jr. Who started at a lower weight then came up to welterweight and did pretty dam good until he ran into one of the greatest fighters in the last 100 years in Pernell Sweet Pea Whitaker and also tested the waters at 154 but didn’t have the same success. I do believe he’s capable of toppling them all since we don’t have and Sweet Pea’s at 147.

they are going to foot the whole bill and depend on the PPV TO GET THE MONEY BACK which they will its a better product then boxing.

Fan of Bud Crawford, but he’s doing himself no favours chasing a 41 year old legend who was never a natural weight. Legitimate welterweights who are in their prime are available to fight if he made it clear he wont take any more bums. Wasting his career.

Manny’s win over Thurman is better than any fighter in Crawford’s resume. Guy needs to fight better fighters.

This is how you know The Bobfather is losing it. 10 years ago he would have MADE SURE Pacquiao took a loss to his next guy before leaving him. Instead he didn’t see it coming. Crawford would be so much bigger right now if he had a win over Pacquiao on his resume and yes he would have beat Pacquiao if they fought.

It’s hard for him to fight the PBC guys when The Bobfather has basically declared war on Haymon and refuses to work with him. I guess he could leave Top Rank when his contract is up but it’s not his fault that Bob refuses to do business with Al. Not everyone is their own boss and can fight whoever we want them to. For years Pacquiao fought who Arum wanted him to fight too. Not saying it’s right but it’s how it is for a lot of these guys. If I was him I’d try to leave but I don’t think he’s ducking anyone it’s just Bob Arum getting in the way as usual.

Crawford biggest chance to fight the top welterweights, like Pacquiao, Spence, Thurman, Porter, and Danny Garcia, is to get out of top Rank, don't renew his contract when it expires. His chance to prove he's better than these top welter boxers is getting dimmer by the day. With Top Rank, his career now has hit the ceiling. Top Rank with all its resources in promoting and hyping his fights can't fully filled-up a small venue, its PPV numbers were terrible and losing money. Top Rank failed to make Crawford a PPV star, he will never be as long as he is with this promotion; that's why they need Pacquiao.
