Canelo did not fight GGG in Sept because the loser of the 2nd fight does not get to call the shots. Instead Canelo chose to do something bigger and more meaningful to his legacy and that is move up 2 weight classes to fight the most proven light heavyweight champion. And in beating Kovalev he became a 3 weight champion. Beating Kovalev in the fashion he did proved to everyone that Canelo made the right decision to move up in weight and fight Kovalev instead of GGG.

It would be hilarious if GGG lost to this tomato can thus ruining his legacy, reputation and a chance at a 3rd Canelo fight.

After the 2nd fight with GGG Canelo moved up in weight and fought a top 10 168lbs Fielding, just over 2 months after fighting GGG. He then fought the #1 rated, former champion, and highly touted Jacobs. After that he moved up 2 weight classes to light heavyweight an fought the best and most proven light heavyweight around.

What has GGG done, he fought a bum who was not even rated in the top 100. He then fought Dervy and got his a*s beaten badly, but was given a gift decision by biased NY judges.

It should be obvious to everyone just who is the th better fighter. And it should be obvious to all that Canelo is looking to fight only those that increase his legacy unlike GGG who is afraid to challenge himself. Afraid to even move up to a weak 168lbs division even though it would likely help him at his age.
    preach!

so sad...there are just some who refuse to admit they were wrong about golovkin...came here crying about how great he is/was and how hed beat everyone ever at MW to a pulp....lol

Regardless, why focus on canelo? What about ggg saying he needs to keep his word with this bum? What’s up with that?
so you're assuming he's getting a bonus but it's not fact. So the defense of him flip flopping is irrelevant. As far as we know, he has a guaranteed contract and he simply changed his mind. My initial comment said, ggg should not be fighting this nividy and should be facing andrade or Charlo instead. He's not off the hook. They're both stubborn divas in my book. It's Canelo fans who defended canelo last summer but now are calling ggg a ducker for sling the same thing.

off accolades? So you're basing it off what those fighters had previously accomplished but not the threat that they were when canelo faced them? So by that logic you should add mosley to the list too. By that logic, the biggest win of Hopkins career would be his rematch win vs Roy Jones. That doesn't make sense. Ggg was a top 2 or 3 p4p guy when canelo fought him, Cotto and kovalev weren't. I give Canelo credit for fighting better in the rematch, I still think he lost. And as I've told you before, of 50 press row scorecards, only 2 thought he won. Which brings me back to my original point, he should've wanted the rematch a yr back to clear that up. Now, I think they should both move onto different opponents.... But not the nobody ggg wants to fight.

If you lose a fight after picking the judges you cant complain. GGG complained anyway

So Canelo moved on to a fighter who ISNT a diva. And fought and beat Jacobs clean. Meanwhile Borat fought ATG at, guess what, a CATCHWEIGHT (something he didn't do) LMFAO...

Canelo moved up 2 weight classes and KOd a Top 5 LHW Champion in his 1st fight at LHW...meanwhile Borat LOST to Dervenchenko but got favorable judging aka a GIFT...and now wants to fight a NOBODY again.

The funniest part is fans like you defending it...no ground to stand on but you'll swallow that dick till you cant breathe!!!!11
You should go back to being banned because nothing you state is credible. 1. The rematch was being pushed on Canelo for the Sept 2019 date. Not in May when he fought jacobs. So that washes your entire point. There were no demands or any negotiations. Dazn tried to push the fight for Sept and Canelo refused and wound up spitting on his own Mexican fans on their independence day. After he begged to have that day from Floyd, he put his diva ways ahead of his groupies. 2. I didn't defend who ggg fought and I actually said he looked like s*** vs dervenchenko (actually dervenchenko did better vs ggg than Canelo did in either fight as he landed more punches on ggg than Canelo did and limited ggg to fewer punches). 3. So my point is that they have both been stubborn divas when it comes to the trilogy. But you c0k gobbling Canelo fans juggled his nuts in your mouths last year for standing his ground and not having any fight in Sept , and now are calling ggg a scared ducker. Stay consistent, you groupie ass b***h and stop worshiping a man that you don't even know.

The only ones that will suffer are DAZN because the contract they gave GGG is an anchor around their neck. Dead weight.
Good then Canoli can cancel the fight. Glad you cleared that up.

Lil G is correct. It was clenelo that said quote we fought twice and I'm the champion. There's no need for a 3rd. Oh how things change. 🥊

Hang on for a second. He also said he would fight Derevyanchenko later after he selected Vanes to fill in after Canelo ******ly failed his drug test, screwed his fans, disrupted Golovkin's plans going forward caused numerous people to cancel their vacation plans deprived Vegas of revenue gave a black eye to boxing in general and acted like a spoiled diva when he dragged his feet in enrolling in Vada 24/7. Golovkin kept his word and Derevyachenko made much more money in the long run. Now contrast with the honorable way Canoli acted when he previously had the WBC interceed on his behalf to persuade Golovkin to step aside and allow the Cotto fight to happen with the promise of the winner facing Golovkin. I think it's universally agreed that Canelo instead of of keeping his part of the bargain dropped the title thereby screwing Golovkin, the WBC, Vegas, his promoter, his fans, and made a black eye for boxing in general.

                Just saying...

I still have a hard time believing Derev would've been ok getting the $225K like Vanes did for fighting Golovkin. He made at least double that for fighting Jacobs several months later. These guys definitely equate every scenario.

Yeah it's sad that they have nothing much to admire in Canelo other than the names he has on his resume flawed or not.. From punching out Ulises Solis a light flyweight in a street fight, to a failed drug test, weight manipulation, being on the board of a supposed charity that's accused of money laundering to having a best friend who makes his living by managing prostitution there isn't much they can hold up as a role model.
