Moorer can actually take punches. Wilder can't.

Also, Whyte, Povetkin and Parker have better resumes at this point than Wilder. I can even argue Ruiz as well.

So what makes him a top-5?
Simply that he was a top 3 and only lost to a fellow top level fighter. Should he have been top 3 in the first place? Welll... he kept winning decisively and all the other candidates didn't.

I agree it's gonna be speculative now, but then ranking always is speculative anyway. Whyte you could say also only has a loss to a fellow top ranker, and Ruiz perhaps... funny little quadrangle the Whyte/Parker/Josh/Ruiz one - but based on performances rather than speculation Whyte's about the only guy you might conceivably rank over Deontay or - maybe - Ruiz at a stretch despite the Parker 'loss' since he has a better single win.

He was only top-3 by virtue of being a champion not based on resume. But now that the belt is gone, do you still consider him a top-tier boxers?

He has to show he belongs there by beating legit top-10 boxers...not the likes of 59-yr old overrated Ortiz.

I'm a Mayweather fan and Wilder isn't fit to lace Mayweather's shoes.

Fury has his number, Joshua ... who knows, the rest would fail miserably.

Bert Cooper was a solid contender.

If Wilder had fought the likes of Whyte, Parker, Povetkin and Ruiz...he'd have at least 3 losses on his resume now.

Having been there you stay there until shown otherwise - least that's the way I see things. Sure if he loses to a second or third tier dude next then take him down a few notches but as yet the only dude he's lost to is the guy who was already established as one of the best in the division and former limneal Champ.

You don't stay there if you're a paper champion who never defended your title against anyone solid.

This isn't about boxing politics, it's about facts. His resume isn't top-6 in the division. And from my view...he also can't be the contenders that round up my top-10.

How about let him take a fight against a legit top-5 HW to show he belongs there?
