Well, that's because he has fought nothing but plums in his career. And got destroyed the first time he stepped up.

Also, Whyte, Povetkin and Parker have better resumes at this point than Wilder. I can even argue Ruiz as well.

So what makes him a top-5?

Wilder can neither take a punch nor fight on the back foot. How's he going to beat a Ruiz who has a rock chin? Ruiz will walk through that right hand and beat him worse than Fury did.
It could happen I suppose, especially now that Fury has taken his soul.

I just think Ruiz is too easy to hit, and if Wilder starts detonating right hands on him I'm not sure he'll be able to stand up. Joshua dropped him in the first fight so his chin isn't completely iron.

Ruiz's chin is legit. He punches hard with his hook and he's ferocious when counterpunching.

Wilder doesn't even know how to trade and basically windmills. Not that he has a chance trading with Ruiz. He basically just paws with his left to set range and throw his right and Ruiz will counter that all the time.

Josh dropped him with a vicious uppercut and a big left hook combo. Wilder doesn't have that in his arsenal. Josh has the best uppercut in the division and his left hook is almost at Whyte and Ruiz's level. And it took a combo of both to get Ruiz on his arse. At this point, I'd pick Josh's right hand over Wilder's because Josh can throw his right from anywhere and he doesn't need to set to throw it. Ruiz also ate all Josh's right hand, including a vicious one that would take anyone's head off after he got up from the knockdown.

Ruiz vs Wilder would look similar to Tua vs Moorer but with more rds. 5rds max before Ruiz puts him to sleep.

But can he beat Dubois, Hrgovic, Hunter, Bakole and Chisora?

We now know his power is an overrated media creation against PBC bums. And he has no boxing skills.
wbc champion 5 years....draw and tko loss to current lineal champion and WBC champion....of course he is

Joshua remained ranked after losing to Ruiz who was ranked lower than fury and wilder

Moorer was 34, Wilder is 35.

Tua was 5'9 while Moorer was 6'2. Ruiz is 6'2 while Wilder is 6'7. I don't see any difference, mate.

im not wasting my time talking in circles.....no fighter drops all the way out of the rankings after one loss to a fellow top 3 guy.....one more loss and he is out......until then he remains ranked

you dont get tanked out of rankings for one career loss

man you really dont know how boxing works.....we get it, you think wilder is a bum...moving on
