Does Canelo get a pass like Ward bringing down a Lineal LHW to 168?

However, what if Canelo says 172lb? Is that better than 168?

Or, what if Canelo says 175lb, but wants at least an IBF style 10lb morning rule. Does he credit for any of these scenarios
