Russell had a good showing in that fight and continued to try to win during the whole fight.

But he was outclassed and he never adjusted or went into plan B. He kept on doing the same thing over and over and became too predictable for Loma.

It's been a while, but I remember that Loma, by and large, relied on his jab. I also remember that Russell was the aggressor in at least 5 rounds.

If we're going to say that Loma beat Gary because of his jab, we need to say that Golovkin clearly won the first Carnelo fight, Jacobs and Derevyanchenko because of the jab.

I asked it before and that fight was a very good example. A jab is a jab. It wins the fight or it doesn't.

So then people were like "Golovkin's jab is like a power punch". Loma's jab was not hurting Gary. It wasn't until Loma cranked it up that Gary was in any danger.

Aggresor but not landing a damn thing. He was hitting air almost the whole time while loma was clearly landing the cleaner shots.
