Pac is all fluff and little substance.

    • Yes and like max kellerman said he may very well have a claim to be the GOAT.

          • Yeah, you can make an argument for him. I have Pac in my top 10 ATG but depending how he ends his career (with a fight vs Crawford or Spence and if he wins) he can crack top 5.

            My top 3 ATG:

            1. Roberto Duran
            2. Sugar Ray Leonard
            3. Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.

            • I will say this about Manny.

Considering his size and build, he was in my opinion, during his peak, as skilled and as well trained and toned of a boxing machine as there ever was.

Go back and watch the tapes of him taking out these bigger guys systematically, just tearing them apart round by round because he was too fast. And when I say too fast, they couldn't even do anything about it.

It's really hard to say who the best boxer is because their primes are so short, but at his prime, nobody was better than Manny in terms of skill, speed, and stamina.

If only considering boxing accomplishments and skills etc., yes he has a good argument. Critics go after some of his opponents, but none of them were critical before the fight took place. Oscar is a good example; everyone, including his countrymen, tried to talk him out of it or were afraid that he would get hurt. When the fight was first mentioned, it was looked upon as unrealistic. Just one year before, Oscar beat Floyd, that's according to Floyd's own father, Floyd Sr. After Pacquiao shut Oscar out and stopped him, then a 'closer examination' began. If you didn't call that fight a mismatch in favor of Pacquiao, and nobody did, then your opinion after the fight goes into the trash can. Any other criticism of this nature is the same. If you didn't bet your life savings on Pacquiao against his 'shot' opponents, then you're hindsight is null and void. I know what criteria was set for this post, but for the record, if you're talking about skills and ring accomplishments, then include character and considering the decent gentleman that Pacquiao is, then he's hands down the best possible ambassador for the sport as the greatest fighter P4P of all times. A better representative for the sport of boxing top to bottom,................there has never been.

                • I voted you could argue, if he can get a w over Spence and craw It would be hard to deny top 5

                  • Top 3 no chance, not with losing 10% of your fights and being KOed a number of times.

                    • A big yes

The reason why some are saying no is because he's still active and matched up vs the their favorite fighters. Now when he retires and the smoke has cleared, everyone, even the kids will realize those achievements in and out of boxing is hard to match.
