To me it's not relevant as far as the sport of boxing goes. I really don't care what people say outside the ring, if they can fight and prove their dominance, that's all that matters.
It's the same thing with musicians and artists. If they say something some of their fans don't agree with, say political stance or some other opinion or belief, they stop listening to that artist! I find that pretty pathetic really. If you had to like the personality and beliefs of every artist whose music you enjoy, you probably wouldn't listen to much music. James Brown was a ball busting pri_ck who overworked his musicians and paid them very little but he was still a revolutionary soul singer who basically defined funk. He also being a coked out nutcase later in his life but that doesn't change his contributions to modern art and music.
