The fact of the matter is Kovalev has found himself in some serious legal trouble which is much worse than a flippant racial remark from Haney.
His legal trouble is from him beating up that chick not his racist remarks. And it wasn't his fans turning a blind eye. It was just dudes trying to downplay racist remarks towards non-whites which happens alot on here.

100% damage control. Deep down a lot of people have this ideology and slip up eventually. He then makes a half hearted apology from a charged statement and want the public to turn the other cheek.

But oh well.... Im not the least bit surprised on this site.
Here's the problem with that statement-2 wrongs never make a right.

The post is about Devin Haney and it is current-it is NOT about Kovalev. Kovalev did however receive backlash-perhaps not as much as you would like, but he has long been critiqued of making racist statements.

In all of this, I am trying to understand if this is your way of giving Haney a "get out of jail free card" on the premise that someone else did something that resembles racism, or if you think this language is acceptable.

If it is the vocal standard to say "white boy"-then surely you think it is acceptable to start referencing people solely by race and nothing more.

Didn't he call Ismayel Sillakh a n*gro or something? Basically everyone knows Kov is a racist. Compared Superman to a chimp I think. JDJ has basically said he's racist too.

I still watched all his fights.....

Nobody is playing the game of "which word is worst", they are simply saying the intent and context in which it was used. Both words are bad, however we are not hearing anyone call Haney "the N word". We are hearing Haney adopt racial ideologies that have been accepted by a significant amount of people.Calling someone white boy in the context that he was-was racist, definitely-no excuse. We need to start calling racism out when it appears, not when it suits others.

Since when is calling a grown man a "Boy" not offensive.

The fact is white guilt is so strong in the US that you can call a white person any kind of "racist" term and they will just take it.

You can't call any grown man much less an entire race a "Boy" and expect them to be ok with it, unless you are a guilt ridden white american.

And Killaman, you thinking that white people get it easier than black people when making racist comments is freaking hilarious.

It is a widely known fact that ********** do not get as harsh a reaction as if a white person would say something racist. Not even close. Which shouldn't happen, as everyone should get the same reaction.

He probably thinks white people suck at boxing, who knows, but the term and the statement was as very racist and his "apology" didn't acknowledge that unfortunately.
