People aren’t freaking out about the fight not happening in September. That’s a coronavirus issue. They aren’t freaking out about a hypothetical opponent in-between Canelo and Szeremeta. They’re freaking out about Szeremeta coming before Canelo, which was always the plan.

At the time they made those plans Canelo was swearing up and down he would never fight Golovkin again. Now he wants Golovkin to shelve that and fight at a time of Canelo's chosing.

Canelo has no titles at middleweight until November 21st, 2015, so don't try to add more time to fit your narrative.

Makes sense. What’s the point of that fight now? That was supposed to be a tune up for Canelo. Now that time may not be there. I haven’t seen any uproar about both guys taking a fight before. Post some links or quit crying.
GGG’s trainer is talking about 2 fights then Canelo and that’s what’s being reacted to from what I have read. GGG needs to dispute it or he’s a ducking little hoe. Period.

Canelo’s just entering his physical prime while GGG struggled to make 160 and looked like ass in his last fight. Canelo already has GGG’s 0 and legacy on his mantle. Bestowing a second L on Borat is just the cherry on top.

Hey if they fight a 3rd time I think Canelo really has a shot to get a legit victory, we will see...also any honest boxing fan should know that a fight vs Derevy was not really a much easier fight than vs Kovalev at the time of those fights...was GGG's toughest fight though, and at least Derevy has a real claim to beating GGG unlike Canelo Definitely was GGG's toughest fight so far

The Canelo-GGG hypocrisy continues to be absolutely insane.

When coronavirus first delayed Canelo-BJS, this is what Eddie Hearn had to say about that fight and the two scheduled GGG fights.

“Canelo wants to fight Billy Joe before he fights Golovkin, and Golovkin wants to fight [Kamil] Szeremeta before he fights Canelo,” said Hearn to IFL TV.

No one cared.

Probably because it makes sense to take the fights that were signed to happen first before moving on to the next one.

Then IFL TV asks Banks if GGG would skip Szeremeta to fight Canelo right away. He says no and everyone loses their mind.

Here’s my guess. When Canelo fans thought both fighters wanted an interim fight before the trilogy happened, nothing was wrong. But when the narrative shifted to only GGG wants a fight before the trilogy, he’s all of a sudden a p***y and he’s ducking, etc. etc.

EVERYONE cared that GGG was fighting yet ANOTHER cab driver instead of rematching Dervenchenko (who beat GGG) or Jacobs (who also mayve beat GGG) and/or fighting Charlo, Murata, or really anyone if remote relevance. Instead GGG literally had to dig this opponent up from scouting books to discover him. . . . .

People accepted that GGG was taking yet ANOTHER stay busy fight (like Vanes, Rolls, Monroe Jr., etc) before the trilogy with Canelo.

Once Corona started things changed. It looks like we'll only get 1 Canelo fight this year and people were hoping GGG would scrap his 42-1 underdog opponent and take on a real challenge.

How is that a joke?? He got the Canelo fight at the weight he wanted 160 pounds. He was the champion and he simply said if you want to fight for my title it will have to be with no weight restrictions. It's not rocket science. I don't think it's funny that Canelo was forced to give in.
