The Canelo-GGG hypocrisy continues to be absolutely insane.

When coronavirus first delayed Canelo-BJS, this is what Eddie Hearn had to say about that fight and the two scheduled GGG fights.

“Canelo wants to fight Billy Joe before he fights Golovkin, and Golovkin wants to fight [Kamil] Szeremeta before he fights Canelo,” said Hearn to IFL TV.

No one cared.

Probably because it makes sense to take the fights that were signed to happen first before moving on to the next one.

Then IFL TV asks Banks if GGG would skip Szeremeta to fight Canelo right away. He says no and everyone loses their mind.

I wonder why?

Here’s my guess. When Canelo fans thought both fighters wanted an interim fight before the trilogy happened, nothing was wrong. But when the narrative shifted to only GGG wants a fight before the trilogy, he’s all of a sudden a p***y and he’s ducking, etc. etc.

Cotto was indeed a MW man...fought at MW.

I have better things to do with my time than trying to parse every word of a guy who doesn't speak English very well lol...GGG has shown that he will more or less negotiate fairly with people...but at the same time, he also won't bend over backwards and rid himself of any leverage to get a deal done, which is just smart.

Btw you accuse me of being a fanboy...but I say the same stuff in defense of Wilder and Crawford, to name two, when people go overboard and start spouting nonsense about them too...probably do it somewhat in support of Canelo as well.

I am high on what GGG has done in his career, but objectively a lot of the criticism he gets is crazy so I respond...just like I did when people were fawning over Fury, while at the same time saying Wilder sucks...or saying Crawford hasn't fought anyone, when in reality the people hating on him are PBC fans and Canelo fans who just want to hate on him for no real reason.

So yeah when I see dumb comments, I will respond...if people say 'I don't think GGG was that great' or something, you won't find me responding...I don't give a sh.it really...like him or hate him, do whatever you want...but at least be emotionless and objective with your critiques.

I just can't get past how Alvarez fans put in so much work trying to discredit Golovkin as a bum who was never that good, when that makes Alvarez look much worse for how their two fights played out. You're discrediting his best win, which a lot of people don't even think he won.
