There is a big difference between racism & prejudice. Racism is a pseudo-scientific belief that **** Sapiens can be sub-divided into 'races', which can then be graded superior or inferior.
It is scientifically invalid nonsense but also v dangerous. The 2 greatest atrocities of human history; the holocaust & the transatlantic slave trade were committed by racists who thought that certain humans weren't human & so could be treated with the vilest cruelty.
The great majority of racists are either white or oriental & I doubt many black americans would be racist because they know from experience what harm it causes.
Prejudice isn't a theory & it just means you dislike people different to you. This might refer to a pigmentation, a religion or a sexual orientation.
Prejudiced people, like racists, have low intelligence & awareness but are more likely to enjoy relationships & have friends & otherwise function normally.
Black folks definitely can be just as prejudiced as white or hispanic or asian folks &, sad to say, Haney seems to be.

I get your point about how people can perceive something that’s why I asked you a direct question.

What did Haney mean by saying he would never lose to a white boy?
It’s pretty obvious he does not feel the same way about not losing to a black guy.

      Why the emphasis on “white”?

When Floyd was promoting his fight with Gatti he said he would never lose to a guy that has 8 losses. It was pretty clear that those 8 losses were the defining reasoning behind Floyd’s stance.
If Gatti was undefeated, Floyd would have said something different.

You can make that argument but two other “white boys” beat him later in his career so that statement still came back to haunt him!

U asking like i know him personally. He could secretly be the biggest racist ever. In my honest opinion he is not. A good % of blacks talk like this and are far from racist. And a good % dont say things like this and are racist asf.

Radio Raheem brought up a good point of him being frustrated at not getting no fights. He was Loma's mandatory till he gained franchise status, plus i see him posted alot of Floyd like posts on IG. I have a feeling this might be the beginning of Haney copying "Money May".

Floyd said tons of racist shyt vs Manny btw. I don't see the guys being personally insulted taking these things as personal as fans.

And you are defending him like you know him personally.
Maybe he’s trying to copy Floyd but he looks nothing like Floyd and fights no where close like Floyd.
He’s going to get beat just like Hopkins.

I read alot of the transcript of what Radio Rahim said and I think it's pretty much spot-on. Haney wants big fights, he wants the stardom and the big paydays that they bring. He seems like an intelligent guy and he's obviously talented but his style doesn't always translate to excitement of buzz.

I doubt his comments were pre-planned but he's getting his name out there and it's like showbusiness, the only bad press is no press. He's the bad guy now, he keeps winning it's not a problem. If he ever does lose to a white fighter he will hear his words come back at him.

Doesn't bother me at all although I can see how some people could take offense to it. It's the same as the old addage "white boys can't dance", "white boys can't jump", etc. It may be stereotyping, but on average, white guys get beat in boxing by black guys more often than the other way around. There are always exceptions to the rule of course. It's no different than saying black people love friend chicken. It's another stereotype but more times than not, it happens to be true.

It’s a problem if he doesn’t think that was racist tho. There seems to be a lot of black people that believe they’re somehow disqualified from being racist. There’s a lot of that out there. From my limited experience, they’re some of the most overtly racist people out there, and believe it’s justified.
Yeah? Every hang out with any asians? Most of the ones I've met are racist towards other asians. Whites are racist, blacks are racist, browns are racist, yellows are racist. There is always a certain section of society that sees their race as superior.
