I didn’t say “can’t be racist”, I said “aren’t racist”. Blacks aren’t racist because we haven’t established any systems of oppression against non whites. It’s that simple.

If all black people had to deal with were “comments” then there wouldn’t be any oppression to call out. I couldn’t care less about being socially accepted or liked by these other races. My issue is with the systems of discrimination that these other races set up to keep black people oppressed. People can believe/say whatever they want, it’s when their beliefs and prejudices are ingrained in the systems that govern and dictate our lives that it becomes a problem. You can’t legislate or control how people think.

When people try to dumb racism down downplay it and equate it with “schit talking” they do it deliberately as a strategic way to deflect. You’re clearly a go along to get along type for even entertaining this BS. Who are you trying to impress with this fake self righteous garbage? These non blacks are going to continue supporting systems of oppression against blacks whether you kiss up to them trying to show you’re one of the “good ones” or not.

There are certain things that are universally right and some that are universally wrong. Unlike some others I don't change those standards based on skin color.

What exactly does it mean when a black person says “A white boy will never beat me?”

Knowing America’s history especially hood language, black peoples perceive white people as weak, hence that statement. Hopkins said the same thing about Calzaghe and he got beat.

It’s exactly the same thing as a white Person telling a black person, “you are so different from other black people” or “you are so educated/smart for a black person”.

This is where you try and hide your hands in another cowardly display. I don’t do passive aggressive. That’s for women and feminine males. I’m a man who speaks clear and directly. I don’t know how you feel about Haney’s comments and don’t really give a fk. Who are you? I didn’t quote you you quoted me. Evidently you were offended by me saying that black Americans are amongst the most oppressed people in the world. That alone exposes who you are. There’s no reason to be offended by that truth but you’re offended. Plus the offense you’ve taken is purely emotional not logical, which is another giveaway. Of course black Americans are oppressed. I couldn’t care less about whites talking their trash as long as the playing field is equal. The problem is that whites deliberately slant the playing field in their favor so that people can’t compete fairly. Haney benefits from no such systematic advantages. There’s no type of discrimination that is stopping whites from competing fairly in boxing. If whites in boxing don’t like what Haney said then they have a fair shot to go in the ring shut him up. That’s what happened to Broner. After Broner started using that “can-man” gimmick, non black dudes got him the ring and whooped his a$$ and now he’s an internet meme. He’s a joke who people love seeing lose. There’s a lot of blacks who like seeing Broner lose.

Yeah, pretty much all of this here, I think. Talking smack. Is it politically correct ? No. Will it offend some people ? Sure. These guys are opponents. Enemies, if you will. They plan on doing serious physical harm to one another. I know a lot of boxers are very respectful toward their opponent, but many are not and say some dumb stuff.

I'm willing to bet if you got Haney alone and away from the game, he would tell you he really doesn't think that way, that blacks aren't particularly superior to whites when it comes to boxing.
It's hype talk. Perhaps he just doesn't want to lose to a white guy. Maybe he's trying to psych himself into thinking he's going to win.....trying to sound confident. Was it unwise ? Was it distasteful ? Will somebody be offended ? Yes, yes, and yes. Was it racist or does it make him a racist ? I don't really know. Not sure. Probably not.

That's the thing with today's social climate... It can be so racially charged and sensitive. As soon as somebody uses a color to describe another person, the politically incorrect racism alarm goes off, and the snowflakes pipe up. I just think that when a "White" uses the term 'Black' to describe people, more people pipe up AND pipe up louder. That's the sort of, "double standard" at work, and given our country's history, I've reluctantly come to expect it...
