Title is self-explanatory.
Who's the best HW Wilder could beat?

Historically?
I would pick him against most.
He's clearly much more terrifying than Shavers: Bigger, Harder hitting, more resilient, can pump-out a respectable Double-Jab. And you see how well Shavers did.
Really, I wouldn't be comfortable betting against him if it were anyone other than Fury.
I think and prime-Foreman and Prime Tyson are really good picks, but it's still a matter of who lands first. Vitali is probably the safest bet, but I doubt he gets Wilder out of there like Tyson or Foreman could... and the longer the fight goes, the better Wilder's chances. Lewis and Ali are wild cards... it's just as easy to see them running away with the fight as it is to see them getting starched.
He's kinda like a caricature of Tommy Hearns. Compared to many of the phenomenal fighters produced in the Welterweight division, Hearns is uninspiring. He didn't have the skill or durability many famed Welterweights had. But watch him put Leonard on the mat, or destroy Duran. There's no questioning that more skilled and resilient men would taste defeat due to the insurmountable advantages of Hearns' ridiculous size and power.Last edited by Rusty Tromboni; 04-15-2020, 10:07 AM.Comment

joshua...he has concentration lapses, his stamina isnt elite, and he is square enough to be hit with that bazooka right handComment

Yeah, I'd agree that he could stop Joshua. He'd lose every second of the fight where he doesn't land a big shot that hurts him, but if Wilder hurts Joshua, he will probably beat him.Comment

He'd have to make it a short fight which isn't typically his style against better fighters. Every second his losing is another opportunity for AJ to knock him out.
TBF I'd give the adavantage to who ever takes the initiative to go for it in that fight as both are slowish starters.Comment
