Exactly how I scored both fights both from in the arena and from watching it back on TV.

GGG clearly won the first fight. The 114-114 card was bad, and 118-110 is one of the worst cards in boxing history.

The second fight was very competitive with a lot of close rounds. It wasn’t a robbery, I can see why some people would have scored it 115–113 to Canelo however I scored it 115-113 to GGG.
Man that must have been a great experience watching it in the arena. That adelaide Byrd card the 118 one was disgraceful reminded me of the draw card against mayweather just nonsensical. And I agree about the second fight. I think ggg has declined somewhat as evidenced in the derev fight. Its only natural for someone his age and with that style so maybe canelo will get a indisputable win this time round if the third fight materialises.

I thought Canelo won the second fight, the first fight Canelo was luck to get a draw though.

not luck, Karma. there's a reason why there's a narrative from many boxers, trainers and fans for Canelo giving GGG what he wanted in the second fight. It means they forfeited benefit of doubt for GGG and switched it over to Canelo. That's why many in industry were impressed to see Canelo flip the script in the second fight, and rarely does that happen in ultra elite level fighting.

Fairness can go both ways with the GGG vs Canelo paradox.

One way, the loophole, is you have to abide by the rules of the point system. Yeah GGG strategically got by just flicking jabs to Canelo that obviously you have to score it, regardless if the majority are just range stoppers and missing. You still have to score those that land, and that's all Canelo haters love to go by, but GGG said he ''really wanted Mexican style'' with Canelo. Such pandering gimmicks don't resonate well with many, especially when judges have seen tons of Mexican bouts..

Canelo had the better shots in both fights, even a better overall compubox. Though yet again, GGG just flicked jabs all night. Imagine if Canelo just did that. How awkward would that be. Canelo would be criticized and the haters would say, ''but GGG always does that.''

That's why Karma is a big role in the grand scheme of things. If Moretti had given just one round more to Canelo both he and Trella would have it 114-114. Fans never gravitate to that and only focus on Byrd. It's safe to assume that Byrd just thinks GGG is a hom0sexual. Robert Byrd probably slaps his johnson on Byrd's ass harder than a GGG jab. This is what she interpreted.

Noobs like Lou Dibella, Bud Crawford and Lennox Lewis..?

Simple fact is that despite the revisionism it was a very, very close fight... and a very good one too, full of nuance and subtle drama that'll probably be appreciated more in the future than it is now.

Mike Tyson, Foreman, Ward, Mayweathers...there's actually a huge list of well known fighters having Canelo winning. Why would do be doing him favors? Canelo aint paying them

Boxing behind a jab has never been seen as a negative. not against Ali, Robinson, Leonard and Floyd.

It shouldn't be held against GGG either.

GGG was boxing beautifully off the backfoot with a jab and won that fight by punches landed. period.

and hurting Canelo in the 11th.
Show me where those guys you mentioned missed so many times??? I mean holy sht ggg missed liked 1200+ times?? that’s NOT beautiful!

We got another idiot who goes straight to compubox to score fights

Did you score round 11 10-8 for ggg??? What time in the round was that??? You make it sound like Canelo was lucky to survive....

No I'm cool with that, everyone entitled to an opinion. Robi was seeming to suggest that scoring for GGG was somehow ignorant or naive though, and I was just saying that plenty of respected dudes scored that way too.

Thought GGG won the first and Canelo the second. Both were close.
