I still don’t understand why so many ppl ignore Defense, Combos, and body work. But that just me. I guess other like jabber walkers who miss around 80%.

I hope to never here you say Leo Santa Cruz should have any losses. I mean he throws just as much but actually lands wayyyy more...

I don’t score fights off of compubox sorry..:
Yeah when I cite 'punch stats' I am really giving my own count more or less...and I saw GGG outland Canelo almost every round in both fights, and obviously then landed a lot more overall punches too.

That criteria you mentioned is definitely important...but a good 2 punch combo or 2 body shots are generally about as effective as a good 2 jabs, especially from GGG...if his jab isn't a great scoring punch, idk what is.

Obviously a body shot like SD landed on GGG in their fight, that is the type of shot that gives you the round, or at least shades it in your favor...as you aren't really scoring punches but damage...so a really good body shot is probably better than a really good jab.

Defense is big but only because you are not allowing your guy to land on you...you don't actively score defense.

I don't really watch the little guys so never really watched LSC.

      Agreed man...my sentiments exactly really.

I don't even really hate on Canelo...he is great for boxing (in many ways - don't kill me Canelo haters lol) and him being successful is good for the sport imo...he has good skills and looks good when he lets his hands go.

But yeah GGG is a rough matchup for him for that reason you mentioned...GGG was just 2 levels above him activity wise and that is big...the 3rd fight we will see what GGG's stamina is with the new trainer.

The volume difference between GGG in this fight and his Derevyanchenko fight is noticeable. Canelo is good for boxing, not great, yes he's very skilled but my lord he needs to up the activity. He was even worse in the Kovalev fight where he was jabbed to death for 11 rounds before coming out with a surprising KO that no one saw coming. He's also cheated and gotten shady cards before, I can't abide by that. He's by far the worst culprit of these antics in a long time, if maybe ever aside from Paulie Ayala.

Even though it was two competitive fight. I thought GGG cleary won the first fight and Canelo clearly won the second fight.

Great jab , no problem there but many of those shots hit glove
Maybe even pushing his opponents head back

Second fight alvarezs output increased but ggg still outlanding and more consistent i had it 7 - 5 ggg.

In before canelo nut huggers storm in, i admire alvarezs skill and change of tactics in the rematch but i feel he did not produce a dominant enough performance to take the belts.
Exactly how I scored both fights both from in the arena and from watching it back on TV.

GGG clearly won the first fight. The 114-114 card was bad, and 118-110 is one of the worst cards in boxing history.

The second fight was very competitive with a lot of close rounds. It wasn’t a robbery, I can see why some people would have scored it 115–113 to Canelo however I scored it 115-113 to GGG.

Canelos low output isn't pressuring enough and he didn't stalk ggg the way ggg stalked him in fight one bro imo.

I had GGG winning both fights in very close fights. I am no upset of the outcome because it was that close.

Canelo win both fights, outboxed him all first fight, then out whooped his ass all second fight

                      - -Judges get told how to score fight in advance.

Canelo better defense and clean shots the first fight.

In the 2nd he stood ring center to knock back golovkin at will, a clear win.
